Newbie just wanted to say HI!!!!

HI - My nameis AMANDA I am being banded on May 14th at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY My Dr is Tompkins.

I'am very nervous but also very excited i really think having support of others that know what your going thru will be awesome. Most people around me my friend, my mom,my aunt have all had gastric by-pass and it is different than banding. I don't know alot of people that has had banding done and I am glad that i will be able to have support from people that has experienced the ups and downs first hand.

Thanks

Hi Amanda, I have been banded for 10 months and love it. I've gone down 2 sizes on the bottom and 3 on the top. I'm down 52 lbs so far. I am considered an average loser at 1 lb per week. Just know the band is a tool, it is not a miracle cure. You still need to eat right, exercise and drink your water. Best of luck to you. Julie

Hi Amanda Welcome and good luck to you sweetie!

My mom had the bypass as well, and it took a bit for her to understand the differences. She gets it now, good luck and I am looking forward to getting to know you!
