Baby food during puree phase?

So I'm supposed to be eating all three meals as pureed foods. Monday night I blended up a can of costco chicken with some of the Water it was packed in, with a little mayo. The taste isn't bad, but what a chore it turned out to be! Has anyone been successful eating baby food during this phase? It's the same thing, right? I didn't try any when my kids were the age to eat this stuff.

I appreciate your thoughts and ideas.

I'm hearing a lot of people mentioning mashed potatoes. In phase I and II I'm not allowed to eat mashed potatoes. My NUT said it's a filler and not very nutritious. If I was to eat it I had to eat the Proteins first. I sure wish every Dr was on the same page. Would make all of this so much easier. <_<

I totally agree Karenlee - every doctor seems to have a different system and I'm constantly surprised at things people are eating in the early phase. I was allowed to eat mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes on the pureed phase but I had to eat the Protein first. For me, thin mashed potato worked more like a "gravy" or "sauce" for the protein. Now I'm onto more regular foods, I'm discouraged from eating rice, Pasta or potatoes because of their lack of nutrition. My advice is for everyone to do exactly what their own doctor tells them :)
