I'm finally matched up with the right surgery... lol ;) thank you. Been thru it no doubt. Take care Jessica!

For sure miss Diva no one knows better than you, tried them all ! :D

I am glad you finally have the bypass!

I'm feeling so much better today! Kicker? No narcotics!! I feel like they were making me sick so I just stopped last night. I'm still in pain, but I can take it. The dizziness, nausea, and headache are gone!

Bran are you taking Tylenol? That's all I was instructed to take for pain after leaving the hospital and it helped considerably.

I didn't think I could have it until I saw someone on here taking is, so I verified with md and started yesterday. :) thanks for the suggestion!!!

How is everyone doing? I feel great! But, I was super weak this morning. I checked my food journal and realized that I only had 128 calories yesterday. Gulp. I've already gotten 90 (2, two-ounce shakes) today, so I'm hoping for a better day. It was shocking to see such a low number.

Hey branstuff, sounds like ur recovering well!!! It's hard to get those cals in but as long as the fluids and protein is getting in than ur fine!!!! I find it hard to get those 2 in but my intake is getting better!!! Good luck and may I ask what type of protein shake ur taking????

Jay, my favorite is the Nectar. I have about six flavors, lol!! I also drink Proti, but it's not my favorite.

I had mine on July 22nd!! Anyone want to be facebook friends so we can watch each other's progress? My FB name is Suzy Zuffante (Dimand). ❤️

I'll send you a fb request!! And way to go!! Are you home yet?

Add me on Facebook too! ( Brandy Keippala )

I had my first social food challenge today. I was the DD for my friends to go winery hopping today. I found myself snacking on crackers and dip three times while drinking water! Not a felony offense I know, but I am beating myself up a bit for it and now feel nervous about doing social things like this again. We are all getting together on Thursday night (Project Runway!) for a potluck dinner. My friends know about the surgery and are supportive, that isn't the issue. I guess I'm feeling a little mistrustful of myself.

Anyone else found themselves "cheating" in social settings? How do you avoid it in the future? I don't want to be a hermit but maybe I should just stay home.

I started my liquid 3 weeks the evening of 7/3. I just couldn't be around a party with food, the temptation would make me miserable. It paid off though, i had my RNY on 7/24 and ny surgeon said my liver was normal size, which made his job easier.

I don't know!! I'm in the same situation. Will I ever be okay to do a social thing again? We have a spirits and jazz fundraiser this Thursday and I'm still on liquids!! I'm terrified.
