Hi---New on the forum

Hi everyone,

My name is Melissa and I am scheduled for surgery on 5/21. I have already seen a nutrionist and I will see the psychologist tomorrow then my PCP next Tuesday.

I have been lurking for a few weeks, but thought it was time to say Hello. I am very excited and nervous about it. I know I can do it, but then I read other postings and get worried. I really don't want to fail again.

Any tips?

Thanks and I look forward to chatting more.

Hi Melissa, follow the bandsters diet and you should be okay. Make sure you eat your lean protein first, vegies second and then carbs. You need at least 60 grams of protein a day. If you exercise it will really bump up your losing rate. I didn't exercise my first 50 lbs so now I have to to lose. Julie
