I have to purchase a package from the surgeons office that consist of two Bariatric Advantage flavors and two Celebrate shake flavors. Has anyone tried these shakes? I am just looking for some insight.

Why do you have to buy from your surgeon's office?

I have not tried either product so I'm sorry I can't answer your question about them.

The only whey Protein Powder that I have only used is Jay Robb. It's very good and made with Stevia. You can buy it from Whole Foods if you have that in your area, directly from the company or Amazon. It comes in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and one or two other flavors.

I also use Torani sugar free syrups to add flavor to the Protein Shakes. It's made with Splenda. It comes in many, many flavors. You can get it from the company, or if you have World Market in your area they sell it too.

You could ask your nutritionist or surgeon if they are allowed on your program they have come up with for you.

I don't understand how they can make you, but I have tried both vitamins and I am currently going with celebrate cause it's cheaper. My docs office sells it with like a $ 5 up charge for shopping , but it's not mandatory. These are the only 2 companies I know of that have what we need after surgery and break down in our body correctly. The bariatric advantage powder taste ok but it has a thick texture. I have tried vanilla and the coffee flavor. If I bought more it would be chocolate and don't over blend cause it can get foamy. The powder is like $ 65 online. Check both companies online and compare the prices with the office. What city do you live in?

The bariatric advantage orange cream is good. I did not care for the chocolate. The banana was okay. I too had to purchase from the doctors office for the two week preop diet. The soup is not too bad either.

I was told at my pre-op appointment that I didn't have to buy their starter kit. I could of saved myself 250 dollars. Their dietitian, who is not working there anymore told me I had no choice but to buy it. Also at my pre-op appointment they said I could only drink the shakes they sell in their office. I'm not paying 50 a tub for protein that I can cheaper at sam's club.
