  1. Thank you! I absolutely love this site.
  2. Would you be willing to share your spreadsheet so that I can see what you are doing to be so successful. That is fantastic! I have only lost 35 in 8 weeks.
  3. I received a measurement chart in the back of my WLS binder to put measurements on. I also received a measurer (if that is a word - LOL!) when I registered at the hospital. I measured pre-op, 2 weeks post op and now every month. I can mail you a copy if you don't have it.
  4. I have Dr. Halmi. Absolutely love him! Had surgery 7/8. My weight loss has been really sssslllloooowwwww! I have only lost 23. I was losing a pound a day and now it is a pound ever 4-5 days. Not sure what is going on. I live in Spotsylvania, so I go to the Stafford office. I also attend the support group at a local hospital in Spotsylvania instead of driving over an hour to the Fairfax meeting.
  5. I am glad to know I am not alone! I just want to be successful! Thank you for your help and encouragement!
  6. Had RNY on 7/8/14. I have lost 19 and am at a stand still. I am walking 30-45 minutes a day.
  7. Okay. I have been journaling and yesterday I had about 400 calories. However with exercise it made my total count for the day 200. I am going to try to up my calories today.
  8. Black beans, chicken, and queso. Or subway tuna That is my go to.
  9. Did anyone else experience a plateau in weight loss on week 3? If so, what did you do to start losing weight again? I walked 45 minutes today instead of 30. I am hoping that the extra exercise will help.
  10. There is nothing there. It is blank.
  11. I had been on insulin and pills for 20 years. Yes, 20 years! My doctor told me I no longer need them anymore! Bought tears to my eyes!
  12. Thank you! I was prescribed Nexium too but I have problems with opening the capsule. I always spill some of the med, so I am not getting the full dose. Curious if I should be on something different to get full effect.
  13. OMG! Sending prayers! I wad just thinking about you today because I know everything you went through when you were in the hospital the first time. Please keep me updated! I am so sorry that your surgery had not been smooth sailing. I can assure you Dr. Halmi will fix you. He is the best! I pray that God will show you favor and heal you quickly!
  14. Does anyone use Ranitidine? My doc gave me Nexium but I have a left over med. also, if you use Nexium do you swallow it whole or sprinkle it on food? If so, how post op are you?
  15. If it gets too bad call Dr. Halmi. They have a on call physician. I had the diarrhea too. They said you can you Imodium if too bad and I think Kaopectate. I pray you get better soon!
  16. SD 7/8 SW 317 CW 302 Lost 15 glad to be gone pounds! Mamie you are a superhero! 3 miles is great! I walked my driveway yesterday twice and felt like I had run a marathon! Any ideas of how to get my incision to stop hurting when I walk? It's only the large on on the left side.
  17. I too had surgery July 8. I have lost 12 pounds since surgery. I think you are right were you are supposed to be. Are you getting in 64 oz. of liquids each day? I definitely am not. I try the hardest I can but it just is not happening. I am also struggling with getting in my protein. This is way harder than I thought it would be, but I am still happy to be on the journey.
  18. I had my surgery on 7/8. I try to use my pain med one twice a day. Today is not a good day - severely nauseated. I called doctor and they called in a new anti nausea med. because it am so nauseous I haven't been drinking my water or getting my protein in. Worried about dehydration ;0(.

  20. I live in Spotsylvania, va. I am six days post op. My doctor is dr. Halmi with Bluepoint. Hope all is going good with you!
  21. Thank you for reassuring me this is normal! Angel yesterday I was able to drink 44 oz of fluids, and got 54 grams of protein. I am trying to do a little more each day. I am glad to be on the losing side and win this battle. I just want to be successful! Thank you for your encouragement and support!
  22. An excellent way to measure 2 oz. is to purchase plastic shot glasses from Walmart. They have been my life line. I just pour two oz. in and once I am finished those two oz. I take in two more. The added benefit - they are cheap. Less than two dollars for 8. They are also easy to transport if you have to eat out, put one in a ziplock in your purse or bag.
  23. Buy baby spoons. Maybe that will help.
