2days after surgery major hickups

I'd anyone else get hiccups after surgery?

UGH yah, I remember that! First week. It's a cruel joke. Pretty common.

I'm terrified of this. I get hiccups a lot already...

I had surgery last week and I had the hiccups a lot the first week. Not so much the last couple of days. I guess it is normal, just annoying.

Very annoying because of the discomfort it causes in the throat and stomach

My doctor said it's from eating too much or eating too fast. It really happened to me a TON at first. I was still learning and adjusting to what amount I could have and the slow eating. It gets way better though so don't worry!

I had terrible hiccups the first two days. I know mine was not from drinking to fast. I barely ever had any fluids due to the severe pain. I gets better I'm 7 days post op now.
