Chimboree26 that is awesome! I am so happy for you.

I hope you are now able to tend to what you need to with the money so that you may have a peaceful heart when your surgery time comes :)

Psalm 34:1

I will extol the LORD at all times;

his praise will always be on my lips.

Thank you so much BreadLady!!! That was a huge concern of mine...not being able to enjoy my banding experience b/c of these $$ problems...but not now. Thank you Lord!!!!!

Hello all,

I am so thankful. My surgery date was moved from 7/10 to 6/19. That means in 7 days I will be banded. :amen:

I want to thank God for answer to prayer. My July date was going to be difficult but I did not want to cancel it. When I got the call today from my surgeons office I was so happy.

Now to all of you prayer warriors :pray:out there...I woke up with a cold today. I have 6 days to get rid of it. Please pray that the Lord will heal this cold in time for my pre-op visit which is the day before my surgery date. I am doing everything on my end to get rid of the cold. Extra Vitamin C, zinc lozenges and I really feel somewhat better BUT I am wheezing...that could be a real problem.

Sorry I am being so long winded. I thank you for your prayers. I ask that the Lord would give me patience! Everything in HIS perfect timing!!!

Breadlady, how are you doing? I am hoping you are on the better side of your cold. I believe our bodies are created to heal and I do hope you can go forward with your band. Are your lungs clearing? I am praying for you to be better and to proceed with your banding. Take care and remember your fluids!

Thank you for inquiring Victoriana. I still have the cold but it seems to progress to a different stage each day. I slept a good portion of the day today. Hopefully that will help. Your prayers are greatly appreicated.

Yay. Yes, it has been very quiet for quite some time. I check several times, as well, so we're in the same boat! I feel like I live on LBT! But I must admit, it is a great place to be.

Hello,

I found this thread last week and have started at the beginning.

It is so nice to go through this experience with people who love the Lord. I live in North Texas. Had my band done on May 7th. I have lost 30 pds. I am able to eat anything (but I eat very healthy now). I have had no problems like nausea, etc...had my first fill last week. It went fine.

I started my journey at 232, I am at 202 yesterday morning. This is so cool!

I will check in tomorrow my sisters and brothers....

Blessings, Weza

Yay! I'm so excited that ya'll are here. Yes, it is wonderful to have fellow Christians to share this experience.

Have any of you told others in your church about your surgery? I have, but only w/folks that I know are positive and encouraging.

Today was an exciting day for me because I had my pre-op blood work drawn.... only two tubes... YAY! And I had my pre-op counselling with a dietician. Four weeks since I started my pre-op diet and I'm down 22 lb. A little over two more weeks until my surgery! The dietician said I need to up my calories and my Protein intake. I've been averaging about 450 calories a day and she didn't like that. She said 1200, but we agreed tp 1000 and protein at each meal. So when I got home I went across the street and treated my self to a 6" turkey sub from Subway!! I won't do that again, probably, but had to have my "last sandwich"!! And I'd had to fast this morning for the bloodwork, so I was starving!!

Tomorrow will be a challenge but I'm up to it! Our son is flying in from San Jose for some Navy medical appointments, so we're having a family picnic, him and our two daughters and their families. I'm planning to have a hamburger with no bun and a spoonful of Beans and potato salad. My husband will raise his eyebrows, but he'll have to get over that. I plan to exercise restraint, but will indulge a little.

God Bless to all and hope everyone has a fun 4th. The weather up here in the Pacific NW is supposed to be beautiful, as it was today!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
