Guys, what do you consider your ideal pants size ?

So far I've gone from a 46x30 to a 34! Love it!

I started at a 56 waist. Just bought a pair of 48's. I don't really know my "ideal." I'd like to hit a 38 but I can be happy at a 40.

I was a 46x30, now I'm a 32x30! I started to have to wear a belt with my 32x30 jeans, maybe gonna drop one more size. 3 more pounds to lose and my BMI will say healthy, for the first time in 20+ years!

I am 6'0" tall and large framed.

I was wearing a 50/52 and am presently wearing 40/42 pants (woo-hoo, I can buy this size in any store).

36" right now, down from a high of a tight 44" in just 7 short months.... I would be ecstatic to get down to a 34". changing sizes is fun, but very expensive!!!

life is good!

My highest was 66 waist now depending on the style and cut (meaning enough room for my thighs & glutes) I'm between 40 & 42. I want to be a 34-36 consistently.

36 or 38 would be fine for me. i don't remember last time i was at that, probably when i played sports. was as high as 54/56 so this is all house money at this point (44 now)

If I go by the link to that Men's Health article with the 2:1 ratio then 36" would be my ideal. Good number to shoot for then

I couldn't find the link to the Men's Health article. Do you mind posting it?

When I started out, I was wearing a size 46 waist, and it had to be the stretch elastic waist band.....otherwise a 48 and they were not comfortable.

Now, I can wear anything in a size 33"...and I prefer slim cut......

I can fit in a 32", but they have to be a loose cut and they feel too baggy through the seat and legs.....so 33" slim in both dress and jeans.

Also, my inseam is only 30"....do you know how difficult is it to get 46" comfort waist in a 30" inseam? Had to search the web to buy them online.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
