Before picture views! ack!

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just signed up in March and my before picture shows that I have had 648 views! That's concerning to me! I see other's and they don't have near as many views. I don't want that many views! I can't find any settings to see if it's viewable in public out in internetland or not. I hope not! We are not making this journey public.

Does that seem like too many views to you or normal for this site?

a lot of people view the pics of posters but they are on this website, not out in cyber land. I looked at your profile and I didn't see any before or after pics. Do you have pics somewhere else?

I just viewed your pic, however I assure you, it was due to the curiosity associated with your post and not in a creepy/stalkerish sort of way! ;)

As stated previously, I think the only folks who can view your info/pics have to be members of this site.

You should be flattered so many folks want to see your pic! :D

Good luck on your journey!

I think it tally's your own views too. It is kinda creepy. I really wish there was a way to prevent coming up in a google search. Had to change my name just so others might not find me linked here. I really wish I understood the privacy settings here.

I am very careful of anything I post as it's all available for the world to see and read. We are so cozy here but it's important to remember we are in a fishbowl.

yep, I agree...I don't even have that stuff posted on Facebook... it's best to keep the private things private!

oh well. It is what it is. They won't even recognize me soon enough anyway. Besides, we all have doppelgangers somewhere in the world, right? ;)

Just find the forum heading you want to post under, click on post new topic on the right hand side of the screen and post!

It's easy. :D

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
