BigBaby - I love what you said about change starting in the miond - I'm ALWAYS telling people CHANGE YOUR MIND and you will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! It's soooo true!!

Dan - GO FOR IT! Go get a fill, go get the girl. You deserve nothing but the best, and as far as you saying you're not bad looking - Hell - You're friggin HOT!

Stef - Ambien is BAD. Luckily I"ve not had sleep issues that last more than a week or so, and mine are usually associated with my ADD (who me? Lol!) But yeah... don't take Ambien. My hospital only uses it in extreme cases, usually we use Trazodone (Trazodone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) as first line and Temazepam (Temazepam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) as second line. Jusp my opinion.

It has been a while since my last post and it’s because I have been kind of having a hard time with my band. It’s all the same old thing, I can eat as much as the bad stuff as I could possibly want and could only eat small portions of the healthy stuff. I know I have put some weight back on. I don’t know how much because I am so freaked out of what the scale reads, so I just won’t even get on that thing. My pants sizes are staying the same and I still feel good, but I can see some more belly fat around the love handle area. I am pretty sure I need another fill but I am kind of embarrassed to go in there because of the weight gain. I guess I need to get over all that and just go in there.

On another note I have a girl question for you all. I have always been kind of a shy guy and the when I meet girls it always been when a friend introduces me or I meet them at a party or something along those lines. As far as seeing a girl at the store or doc office and going up to them and asking them out, I have never really done that. My problem is I really want to take this girl out at my orthodontist office (yes I am 26 years old with braces) and I don’t really know the best approach to ask her. She is pretty out going, friendly, funny, smart, and it seems like we have some stuff in common. It kind of sucks, all the qualities I see in her that I like, is the same reasons why I am intimated by her. I know I am not all that bad looking and I like to think of myself as a fun person to be around, I just still lack the confidence even after losing 120lbs. Anyhow I just kind of wanted to get everyone’s take on this. Any good tips on how to raise the confidence level?

Dan- do you know if she's available? You could ask around in the office to see if she is. Ask her to dinner, all she can say is no, big deal if she does, not the end of the world. As a girl myself, I would be flattered no matter who asked me out, even if it was some geeky guy. I would think it was nice of them to ask, so just go for it.

Captain - GO FOR IT! I think you are way hot and she would be a fool to say no! Of course it could go either way, but nothing ventured, nothing gained! Personally, I would ask her to Starbucks, too. During the brief time when I was single, I know I was most comfortable for a first outing to be Starbucks. If you hit it off, you hang out as long as you like talking...if you don't, you made a new friend, had a good cup of coffee and your home to see prime time TV or call a friend and go out! LOL

Suze - Yeah, Ambien is bad stuff. But seriously, how about Xanax? What can you tell me in "real world"...not the stuff I read on the label that the company puts out? I have GOT to do something about this insomnia! I usually only need to take something for a few days to a week, then I'm good for a couple months...I can stay on track for that long. Then it comes back for whatever reason. Drives me freakin' nuts!

The board has been pretty quiet today. Maybe everyone else has had much better weather than we have had here

Hope you didn't get too much hail!

WOMBAT - Hey! Right now both our tickers say we have lost 61.6 pounds! :)

Hail? You got hail? I'm glad I didn't get it here, west of you. It was so cool...right before sunset, the clouds burned off a little and there was an enormous double rainbow! It was so pretty!

I also have an appointment for another fill on the 18th of March. I think I am going to ask him to make it a double shot and no messing around. I really want to feel some kind of restriction this time.

Thank all of you for the girl advice. The only thing on my mind is going to be timing. I am going to see her on the 13th of March (I don’t get home till the 12th) and I plan on asking her out for lunch but there is always a bunch of people around. Do you guys think it might be a little rude of me to ask her out when all her co-workers are walking around? Do you guys think I should attempt do get her phone number first then ask her out? I am pretty sure she is available. I have a pretty close family friend that works there and she tells me how the girl I kind of have a crush on is always making commits about me. My friend told me she was single but that was a month ago and I won’t even be home for another 3 ½ weeks. So I guess I will just have to wait and see when I get home.

You want to take her to lunch! Cool beans! And that's exciting that she is making comments about you! Sounds like she is definitely interested! I would quietly ask her right there where you normally see her. Someone may overhear, but as long as you are discreet, that is all that matters. If she says yes, THEN ask for her number and give her yours.

Woohoo Stephanie!!! My number keeps going down these days - no complaints here. Not sure what I'm doing differently. I've been a tad stressed and haven't been eating quite as much and certainly not good healthy choices either. hmmm - I'll take it either way!

I'm sad I missed the rainbow!! We had a little hail at my house - couple of pieces were golfball size. Somehow none of them hit my 2 cars parked outside - woohoo!! Other parts of McKinney had so much hail it looked like it had snowed. Glad you were spared.

Captain Danbo - you should definitley ask her out even if everyone is around. You can do it quietly without calling lots of attention to it :cheers2: You are a cutie and she would be crazy to say no!! If she's making comments then she's interested!!!!

Us Washington folks had sunshine today!! I spent most of the day upstairs going through drawers and files, and had my bedroom window open. It was wonderful!! Probably won't last though.

Restriction is good, eating is much less, but nothing is showing on the scales and I'm super bummed out. I've gotta get my butt moving!

Stef, we all hate you and your 50F weather!

So, I spent the weekend at my moms... good news is that my restriction is so great that my mom accused me of being anorexic, haha! (she doesn't know about my Band.)Bad news is that while I could only eat 1/2 cup of her famous white chicken chili... I still easily managed to eat about 10 Cookies, and a large bowl of ice cream. Oooops! But damnit! i'm a volume eater, so if all I can eat in volume is the bad stuff.. THAT'S what I'm going to eat! Ugh!

My Dog is doing good, for those of you who remember he had surgery a couple weeks ago. He is healing well and when I walked him he could go about 5 blocks before he showed signs of being tired. Mom said that one trip around the house made him tired the first few days, so he is doing better. Still waiting the final reports about whether is was cancer or not. And he has to be on special food and special medicine for the rest of his life... expensive! Thank goodness my mom love me and my dog! Haha!

Have a good day alll!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
