June 2007 Bandsters
Hi all ~ it's been awhile since I've posted. I had to have a complete unfill to undergo a complete hystorecomy. It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and I'm finally going in for a fill. I can't wait! I've gained about 5 pounds back, but I'm hitting a fluid diet until Thursday in hopes that I'll be back down to my low before going in for the fill. I'd hate to go in and get on the scale and be higher than my unfill date. Sigh! I'm disgusted with myself:(

Well ~ today was the day ~ 1 year down and the rest of my life to enjoy. I've changed my signature pic, but I plan on posting updated pics on the other thread. We'll see if I remember how to do that.

June 2007 Bandsters
Hi ~ It's been a few weeks since I've had time to post. Just can't seem to squeeze in the extra computer time lately. Well, big things have been happening and I'm getting stressed now. After years of female problems my OBGYN has decided we can go ahead and yank the plumbing. I go in on July 8th for a complete hystorectomy (spelling?) at the age of 36. After contacting my lapband surgeon today I found that I have to go in and have a complete unfill at least 2 weeks prior to my surgery. I'm stressed because I'm afraid I will slip off the bandwagon and gain a few pounds back and how long will it take me to get back to where I'm at now with my fill. Granted I think I'm a little too restricted now, but I'm not losing either. It may be silly, but I hate even looking at the scale when I'm up 2 or 3 pounds now. Is there anything I need to tell my anesthologist (again spelling) in regards to working around my band? All my lapband doc said was to discuss options with them. Any medical words of advice Suzzzie? I do look forward to not having my TOTM anymore, but hormone replacement is kind of scary too. Things have just gotten worse since I've lost weight and started exercising more (more pain, longer cycle (10-14 days), severe bleeding) I just can't do this anymore. Thanks for listening to my whine fest!

Steph~ Hang in there, everything will be okay. If anyone can make it unfilled you can. Suzzzie I completely understand your dislike of the TOM. I too get very tight. Especially when I ovulate (which is very painful for me). I'm considering having everything pulled out. I'm to the point that mine last 10-14 days. It just isn't normal anymore. I could only hope for every 5 weeks. I feel like I get a 1 week break and it starts all over again. The only bad part is I'd no longer have an excuse when the hubby wants to fool around and I'm not in the mood.

I voted too ! I wish my cat was loveable. All she does is bite nowadays. Can't even pet her and she's grabbing ya. I have terrible luck with animals. I love them, but they end up costing me an arm and a leg.

Beckie~ I'm so sorry about your BF's mom passing. Cancer is such a terrible ugly disease. I just lost a very good friend to cancer a few weeks ago. She was a single mom with a 6 year old little boy. It was the worst funeral I've ever attended. Stay strong! I heart goes out to you.

Big Baby ~ you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers too. God Bless! As for weather, It was a chilly 29 degrees in Alpena, Michigan today. Yesterday it freakin snowed. Last week it was in the high 50's and I thought we were getting closer to nice weather. That's wishful thinking! I'm so freakin sore today I can barely walk. I swam yesterday and then took in an "Extreme Intervals" cardio class at a local health club. My husband has been giggling at me all day today. I can barely sit on the toilet without experiencing extreme discomfort. I won't even discuss what walking down stairs is like. Here I thought that swimming 3-4 times a week (1 1/2 mile each day) was getting me in great shape. I'll really fearful of the program Steph is going to set up. If I feel like this after a 1 hour cardio class I'll probably die doing Steph's program. Hey Suzzzie. ~ what do you think of that book ~ "Lift like a man, look like a goddess"? I special ordered it and it came in yesterday. I'm about 1/2 way through. I find it extremely interesting. Just curious what you were thinking.

Insub ~ I have to joke about him if I truly want to blow off my steam. He is very vocal and a lot of people don't like him. Hell, most of the time I don't like him. LOL. Just kiddin' ~ it's the stupid stuff he says that keeps me on my toes. I doubt he learned his lesson, but my birthday is next week so I'll see if he can redeem himself.

BigBaby ~ I am the same way right now. It took my 30 minutes to eat soup yesterday. I ended up dumping the rest of it out. Mashed potatoes even hurt last night. I'm not Pbing because I stop when I feel the discomfort, but I tend to get really tight when I ovulate or have cramps with my TOM. It's weird when the protein shake is even tight, but I don't want an unfill.
