That exactly describes my gall bladder attack. I had mine out 2 months before my RNY.

I took PPI meds but only for 3 months.

Hi Green*eye*girl, could you give me more information regarding the pain, type etc. you are having. My pain was a crushing

pain I couldn't take a deep breath, also it radiated to my back on both sides it was just in my mid-drift area. My Doctor thinks it is my gallbladder ,but still haven't gotten a report (Makes me mad.) Also what is PPI medication? If this pain is something that happens I want to know .

This pain is exactly what my gallbladder attack felt like. I spent six hours in an emergency room until it passed, unable to stand upright or get relief.

Well my doctor thinks it can possibly be an ulcer which I'm hoping it's not nor my gallbladder. In hoping it was a one time thing and that's it

Well they don't think it's an ulcer the gastro doctor thinks it may be an obstruction bowel that maybe relieved on its own since I don't have constant pain but still tenderness on my belly. So I will be going for Ct scan on tues to see what is going on. I really hope that it's not bad that I shouldn't worry. But for now I haven't had pain so that's a good start.

Hi everyone, I am better with my pain. I am really upset with my Dr Office. I kept calling about my ultrasound results done August 15. I could never get an answer. Today I finally got an answer I am going to have my gallbladder removed. This came as a shock, but still don't know all the detail because the PA is to call me. I know I sound like I am a Pain, but I promise I am not. I do not bother the office. I am also losing weight again.

I agree wicked beauty weirdest feeling. I saw Dr. Today for 3 month check up received encouraging news that I am 5-10 pounds ahead of schedule! Yea me!! Plus talked about pushing myself more in exercise just to find my limits. He wants me to be able to see the changes my body has made and learn my own abilities. I am so afraid to hurt myself. How strong am I? What can I do? So tonight I tried to push some and didn't hit it... 6 miles walking on bike path and could still go..even was walking at a pretty good pace! Will see in morning how my knees handle it...before surgery I could not handle 1 mile on treadmill. Wow!!!! I am going to try treadmill tomorrow...

I'm home for the first time in nearly a week. We did 3 days at Cedar Point amusement park. Sunday I walked 4.7 miles, Monday 9.04 miles, Tuesday 4.14. Then 2 days of college visits with my daughter (4.08 and 3.62 miles). It was great not having a scale around until this morning. I lost 1 stinking pound. 1. Really? I usually walk under 2 miles a day and I have been terrible about my exercise. So I was sure I was going to have this huge loss. NOPE. Not very happy this morning.

That being said, I'm still farther than I thought I would be. My doctor told me realistically I could expect to lose 70 pounds. Anything more than that would be a bonus. Since surgery (4/15) I have lost 52.5. My BMI started at 40 and it's now 31.6. I had to buy all new clothes. So while that stinking scale really pissed me off this morning, it's progress.

Don't be a slave to the scale. My surgery was the same day as yours and I am down 60 pounds. I have been on a scale stall for the last 2 weeks but I know that I'm losing inches. I put on my work scrubs this morning and they are totally too big and last week they were not. I think sometimes these stalls happen so that your body can catch up with your weight loss. I intend to buy a tape measure today and measure my weight loss more by inches then by the scale. Keep moving stay motivated the scale does not rule you!

Don't be discouraged!!!! You're making progress. Personally, I haven't been on my scale at home AT ALL SINCE BEFORE SURGERY. I knew I'd obsess and make myself bonkers. I only report a weight to you guys if I see a doc for something and they make me weigh in. Too many other things to focus on. Keep doing what you need to do. Stay hydrated, exercise and use your tool and the weight will keep coming off. STAY FOCUSED.

We've got to challenge ourselves. I'm going back to cardio Bootcamp in a week. I had to remind myself If I was pushing through the pain 50+ lbs ago, imagine what I'm capable of now.

Sounds like everyone is doing well. I too am 3 months out and down 74 pounds. Currently at 201!! It's been about 20 years since I've been at this weight. I'm having gall bladder issues and dr wants to take it out I'm just anxious about having surgery again so soon. I'm having little pain so I go back in September to see how I'm doing and schedule surgery.

Get it removed asap or you will be in so much pain even worse feeling. Recovery is minim as l after gallbladder removal.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
