First time to hospital after surgery. ER visit for blood in urine. Found out just a bad UTI but that is after CT scan, 5 tubes if blood removed and everything else.. Got informed all the precautions was because I had gastric bypass and need to be very careful to make sure everything is normal. At least did find out surgery worked everything healed and looks great!!

YAY!! Congrats to you!!! I have good days and bad, I stick to soft foods mainly simply because I'm tired of throwing up:( Soups a lot...but I eat a lot of fish (salmon or tuna usually) I can comfortably eat a 2oz piece of grilled or baked fish and I know this is REALLY bad but tortilla chips, crackers are easy too. I was told ground beef would be ok but I can't seem to get mine at home to be soft enough because I but 93/7 so I tried a crunchy Taco Bell taco someone bought me at work and I was able to eat a little more than half NO PROBLEM. I just wish I could get my meat like that at home:/ I never liked fast food in the first place. chicken is the hardest for me to do..

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing wonderful learning about their new lifestyle. One thing I am painfully learning about is the sun. I would never get sun burnt before surgery, but since surgery I have gotten burnt twice with sun block on and this time after only 1 hour in the sun. I am not sure if surgery is the reason but just be careful anyways...

Hey everyone. Hope u all are doing good! Tomorrow will be my 3 month mark & I'm feeling great!! I'm able to eat pretty much anything as long as I chew it very well. I'm starting to have a lot more energy, less sleep needed, body doesn't ache as much. I'm not doing very good with the exercise, unfortunately. But I'm going to start next week. With work being soooo busy the last few months & coming home & working on the house (we have been remodeling) I haven't had much time for anything. But it's finally done! Yayyyy. So my surgery was April 8 & since the day of surgery I'm down 51 lbs as of this morning. I've dropped 2 full sizes & my current size it starting to get a little baggy. Makes me sooo happy. Well I'm hoping everyone else is doing good also.

Hi everyone, Just found us again. I have been doing well. Still not losing. It is about 45lb since surgery. I have to see my Doctor July 11. I am not sure what he will say. Today I had a scare. I ate a egg and a 1/2 slice of toast for Breakfast about an hour later I drank some low cal orange drink over ice (I still want ice) All of a sudden I started having extreme pain across my mid drift an pain in my left back. I am still not sure what was going on,if it would have been on my left I would have thought gall bladder. I thought I was having a heart attack. I am still not 100%. If it gets bad again I will go to the er. Has anyone had symptoms like this?

I did exactly same symptoms & had a gallbladder ultrasound & it had to go 6 months after my by pass surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
