8 days post op

I can not handle the protein. I could not even drink it pre op. I just did clear liquids for 2 weeks. I still can not choke down a shake, I am worried about being on clear liquids for 4 weeks and what it will do to me. What should I do ?

Talk to your doctor or your NUT. Protein is essential

I talked my doctor and as long as I can get down liquids he said I am fine.

Have u tried mixing the protien? What I mean is that before surgery I liked the premier protien pre-made shakes but now that I am post op they weren't going down so easily. So now I put it in a container and mix it with 2% milk (less than 1/4 cup) and it goes down so much easier. Almond milk isn't that bad either.
