Before WS: 285.5

Day of Surgery: 269

Today's weight - 249

Total weight loss so far 36.5

I feel good and am excited to hit the gym tomorrow and start to burn more calories and lose more lbs!! :) sky's the limit!!

Good idea, I am going to start tracking. I guess I was thinking it's so hard to figure out when I'm eating such a tiny bit each time. Under 800 seems like a good number! My husband is tracking on lose it app. Since he is dieting w me. I'll give it a try! At least now I have an idea of a number!

Have a good day everyone!

I use the Lose It app and the bar scan feature makes it SO easy! I just scan the label of whatever I'm eating and then I can adjust the amount with the scroll bar. So entering a few tablespoons or a 1/4 cup of food is easy! Trust me, the calories add up really quick. It's also nice how it adds up my daily intact of Protein, fat and Carbs.

Sorry to the guys that have joined recently, but we talk about everything on here so.....

Anyone having really heavy periods after surgery? Mine were usually light, short, and no cramps due to my birth control pill. This one came a week early and is ridiculously heavy and has gone on over a week. I'm sure it's due to the sudden weight loss and changes going on with my body but man, I'm ready for it to go away! Anyone else having this issue?

Thought of you as there was a post on BP this morning about unusually heavy periods. Something about estrogen being stored in fat and as your losing fat, the estrogen brings on your period. I'm still waiting to get mine post surgery. I have been getting mine every 29 days like clockwork for years.... Until last month it was 4 or 5 days late and started surgery day. Now it's late again!

Proud of me.....This was on the elliptical. Anyone who tells me I took the easy way out might get punched in the throat.

Several have been mentioned above. Have you tried drinking some good old fashion prune juice everyday?

My dr told me to use miralax...but that can take a while unless you have to take a lot like I did for my pre-op diet....but....my dr said to use miralax and go back on clear liquids for a couple of days until it resolves itself. I heard you aren't supposed to do a full "cleanse" after surgery to avoid dehydration......so you probably want to call your dr and insist that you talk to someone today......sorry I'm not more help. Before surgery, there's a lot you can use.....After, I'm not so sure....

Today is officially the 16th! Make sure to take some pictures and record your measurements to document your progress! I last took my measurements on 3/8/14 and overall am down 10.5 inches! I measure my waist, hips, lower bust, upper thigh (at its biggest) and my upper arm. I haven't hit a stall yet, but I feel one coming on as the scale hasn't budged in 5 days. Seeing the inches lost helped motivate me when I was feeling discouraged!

Thank u for the suggestions ladies. I ended up doing an enema as per Dr's instructions. I have never done an enema and man what a relief. The box said it would work within 1-5 mins and it sure did as soon as I was done using it I was running to the toilet. TMI I know, we share everything on here lol So thumbs up to Fleet Enema!!

I had horrible constipation! My doctor told me to take dulcolax, one good clean out and never had that problem again! Be prepared in a few hours!! Not to be gross!

Oh wait you mean Im gonna go to the toilet again tonight??? I thought it was just the one time.

A cup of coffee usually works for me & it works right away. lol

Not to be gross but it was horrible for many hours!! Then I had a break and it started all over again! Lol! BUT you will feel great :)

On a clean note, my surgeon said that when we eat protein 80% of it should be plant based and only 20% should be animal based. Thought that an interesting thought.....

I'll have to update my numbers when I can find my scales. One good thing about moving is that I haven't had time to focus on the scales! I'm trying to get back to eating right, but I've found that any and everything I eat makes my tummy rumble, which is highly annoying. I hope that stops in the future.

Mschwartz, that's very interesting. My doctor never said anything about that. Heck, at this point I have trouble getting all the Protein through any means. I can't imagine having to focus it on plant based protein.
