APRIL 21st Sleevers!

Recommended Posts

After waiting what seemed like forever, things finally got real this week. Had pre-op visit & labs yesterday. Started diet today. Also had to stop anti-inflammatory meds. Had a crazy week at work, too. Woke up with a killer Migraine today. Could be related to no caffeine. Sitting here with the heating pad on my back & an ice pack on my head. Hoping it gets better soon.

Yeah. It's understandable that you slipped. Just get back on track. I've been drinking crystal light every time I thought about it. I was trying to avoid hunger. Well, here's hunger. Lol

Pre-op diet has been rough. Work provided pizza for lunch today, but there I was with 3oz of lean ham & a cup of yogurt. Haven't done much else but I have a 3 day weekend to get ready. Hospital is only 10 minutes away, so no need to pack much.

I am use to the shakes. Still need to pack and situate the house. They don't tell me the time until Sunday! Easter is going to be rough. Huge family outing and they don't know about the surgery. Fighting like crazy with my mom and sister. I think they are going to fight me until I pass out from the anesthesia. My hubby is still not happy but he took the day off to be with me. I think they all think I'm going to fail. Not lose weight and still eat. And my sister again said I'm taking the easy way out bc I'm lazy and don't want to do it the right way. Isn't it really bad to go into surgery stressed and upset??!?! With all this stress and all I can do is sip a damn Protein Shake pisses me off even more!!! I don't need this sh!t.

I'm sorry that you have all of that going on. You have to do what's best for you. This is your journey alone. I've told my friends to either support me or shut up. You do not need this stress. I'm thinking they will change their song once they see how good you're doing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
