Mine didn't drain but this is how mine looked. My Dr prescribed an antibiotic and it took care of it.

I'd keep a close eye on it. If it doesn't look like it's improving in a day or so, maybe call them back and insist that they look at it. An infection could land you in the ER or back in the hospital on IV antibiotics. If your surgeon won't take a look, maybe your PC can help you.

I hope you get this checked out soon. I have heard that infections can spread super quick after surgery since your body is not at its full healing potential. Feel better soon!

I had an infection in the drain site the day after it was removed. (Yellow puss as well) I went to the er and they admitted me for 2 days. Everything cleared up after being on antibiotics. Please make sure to tell your doctor before it gets worse!

I went to the surgeon this morning he wasn't worried about it and said if the redness gets any bigger we'll have an issue. If it's not looking better in 2 days I'm going straight to the ER though.

I went for my one week check up monday and he took my drain out. He said it was infected and gave me antibiotics. Ive been cleaning it with antibacterial soap like he said. its still draining alot. I was juat wondering how deep the hole goes.

Your drain was in the old part of your stomach. My drain had a 15 cm marking on it. I asked if that's how far it was in and they said yes.

I hope the antibiotics kick in and do their job and you start feeling better. Good luck! : )
