I havent been told about a liquid diet until after but I did find a great recipe site for the protein shakes you may want to look at theworldaccordingtoeggface. She has all kinds of recipes on there. I dont like the plain flavors of the shakes so far. Another thing that I have scene on multiple sites is gas-x strips and a small pillow for when your in the hospital. My surgery is scheduled for April 16th. Good luck! Im sure your going to do amazing! :)

Congrats on your new journey!! Just make sure to follow your nutritionist's guidelines and you'll do great!! :)

My surgery date is 4/10 as well. I'm converting from lapband to gastric sleeve. I'm excited and hopefull that I can get the weight off that I have regained over the past few years.

not really. I am limited some because of my lapband. I go for pre-op, education class, and hospital pre-reg 3/26. I'm going to do the 2 week liquid diet whether its recommended or not. Just figured I can start getting adjusted to it.

I found the liquid diet the hardest part. 1 week of clear fluids the first week post op. Once you make it past that, it gets way better. I also will warn you that I did not do well with the anisthesia. I was sick my first 3 days. Once it wore off I was super! Absolutely no pain at all. Best wishes to you!

I'm also April 10th. I'm very nervous about the pre-op diet that I have to start in a few days. Good luck to you, soon we will be on the losers bench. :)

Yuppie... I just went to meet the doctor with my reports ... I have been told to start the liquid diet with protein shakes from 2 nd of April ... How about you ...

Only one week? lucky you. I have to start mine on the 27th 2 weeks before. But because I know Im such a slow loser I started yesterday. I have been trying to cut back ever since I heard I was approved and did not lose a single pound. So I figured Ill start this liquid thing early so in case I slip at least I got a couple of days to adjust to the "real thing". So far yesterday I felt hungry in the afternoon. And I had like 3 sugar free popsicles but that did not do much so I had a little bit of Peanut Butter and Water and that calmed me down a little, That and then I went to bed early so I would forget about the hunger.LOL

I'm so excited for you! I go on the 9th.

April 9th for me...lapband to sleeve!! I will try to post the day of or after on my surgery

April 10 lapband to sleeve for me. I'm excited.

How are my fellow April sleevers doing? My weight loss seems to be slower than when I initially had the lapband. Down 60 pounds since 4/10. I can wear same clothes as I was when I was 20 pounds lighter. I do however feel much better than the last few years with the lapband.
