Thanks Rocko.. I'm glad I saw it.. it gets confusing to keep up with who posts were, I wish they were a bit more organized, or only showed current. I'm glad you posted it twice, cause I've only seen it once. :) It's a great article I sent it to my family members and posted the 4 food groups on the fridge. Are you still on liquids? or have you progressed to mushies. creamies yet? I'm toying with some cottage cheese today.. just a few bites. I can't stand those Protein Drinks.< /p>

I'm probably getting around 600-700 Calories a day, starting yesterday. I'm down 30lbs from 3/12/07 That's with about 30min or so of exercise everyday. I'm pretty pleased so far, just wish this was available 10yrs ago!

Thanks Rockn4u! Awesome article! You know ladies - men lose a lot faster!!! There is a guy in our support group who was lap banded on May 25th,2006 and lost 155 pounds by 2/1/07. He looks awesome and is already to goal. i hope i can do as well as he can. he runs one mile a day on his treadmill and does this 4 or 5 days per week. he says he will never be fat again.

Yep, he followed all the rules. You are doing great too. This website is really helping me - everyone in our area does the gastric bypass thing and there are not too many lapbanders to get support form. Relatively new to our area. Thank you for all your help. Just out of curiousity can you tell me how much it cost in Mexico???

Mine was 8500 in Mexico and that was for everything from start to finish and free fills for life. My surgeon has trained most US Surgeons and all of them in Houston and had done more than 6000 bands so I really feel I had a great doc and everything went great. The hospital was beautiful and so was Monterrey.

Rockn4u,

Thanks for the link. I am going to post it on my fridge.

I am being banded on Mon. 4/9!!!

The pre-op diet really stinks, but I am very excited.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
