I had a leak discovered in July. I just had the port replacement on Thursday. Definatly not as painful as first surgery. I am just pissed they don't tell you how often this really happens.

Can I get the manufacterers to pay me for my 6 hours driving back and forth to the city, and for all the copays and expenses? It's not fair I have to go through all of this again because there was a defect. Not to mention myself and my husband missing work- We do not get paid time off!!!!!!!! Iam angry!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like you need another fill. I didn't fell full until my 3rd fill...

HEY, and thanks for the thoughts! I went today and she unfilled me 2 cc's. She thinks he put 4 in there on accident!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now I think I have instead of 10..... She also doesn't seem to think I have a leak, so still don't what thats about. I can eat again! I feel soooo much better!!!!!!!

I called today, and I am going in tmw. I am SICK SICK SICK of driving in there 2 hours because of all my problems. 3 times in one week! uhhh

I don't know how it happened, its very rare. Its a 10 minute office procedure with a local, so it should be just fine. Crossing fingers!

As some of you know, I discovered I have a leak. Well today, he filled me up, and on Monday he is going to check if it leaked again. Then I will have a revision. Well, since my fill today, I've been throwing up all liquids I've put in my body. At first I was sipping some vitamin water, that was fine. Then, I had some cofee, and a protein shake and I started getting very burpy and hicuppy. I didn't feel well, so I tried to sleep, and couldn't because I felt acid reflux, which I never felt before, and also I would wake up and start choking in a panic. So, I am wondering if its just swollen, or if I am too full. Now, I am going in on Monday to see if its still leaking, should I wait until then, or should I call him tomorrow and tell him I think I might be too tight? I probably have a leak, should I just let it leak out these next few days, making the fill less tight??? Thanks for advice, this is the first time I've experienced this. I don't want to make the band slip!!!!!!! My worst fear!:help:

Kat, thanks so much for your well wishes! I did speak with him about the receptionist and he said that she was stupid and he would talk to her! lol He was very good about it. He filled me up again, so I feel very tight. On liquids, so hopefully I will lose what I gained last week. She shall see again on Monday!

I had mine done by Dr. Fielding in March. I just discovered I have a leak, but its not there fault. He has been helpful. Just beware, they never get back to you when you call! They are VERY busy.

UPDATE ON TOP- I have a leak. Went to doctor today. Procedure is in a week.

Thank you! I knew I wasn't crazy! My Grandmother is also a retired RN, and she said most of the time, they don't give them the messages, they get lost or thrown away...

sort of an update: I kept calling the doctors office to speak to a nurse. The last time I called I got this nasty lady who yelled at me, saying I don't have a problem, the nurse is too busy to call me and that I should just eat Proteins. First of all, she is the receptionist, and it is ILLEGAL to give me medical advice. Second of all, the nurse can't spare 1 minute talking to me? I am concerned about my band! This has gotten me really upset with them. I see my doctor on Monday, and I will talk to him. Thanks for all your support.

liquids 2 days mushies two days after that. although i usually just do one and one because iam bad.

Thank you for your help. I am just such an anxious person, so anything gets me worried. I've calmed down, and I am writing down what I eat. I know its nothing serious now, so I am just waiting out of pure curiousity now. At least I have my appt in 1 1/2 weeks. Thanks for all your replys and I will update when the doc calls!
