I was able to eat all but 1/3 of the can. Maybe because was hungry, I had been having a hard time due to not really eating!

hey, okay so surgery on the 12th - doing okay but can't seem to get the liquids down. can do Protein shakes and the like but have trouble with Water. hate to resort to popsicles but that may be my best option until "this too shall pass". anyone else with this issue? how are you dealing with it? advice definitely desired!

I'm not sure if its equivalent but I have been drinking Isopure clear drinks, they have lots of protein and taste fairly good. It must be hydrating since I pee often and its almost clear. My problem is Jello, I can do without but it a bit strange. I had my sleeve on the 15th. I eat pudding and yogurt smooth. I am not hungry yet.

Surgery was on Wednesday. It is also very hard for me to get water down, feels like I'm swallowing a lump. The protein shakes are fairly easy. I split them in 2 oz servings. I've been doing well on light Greek yogurt. It seems to go down well. Didn't think something as simple as drinking would be so hard.

Hey Lalise, I'm allowed things with Protein in them now so this is good but I'm also supposed to be doing three meals with liquids in between that have no calories. pudding sounds yunmmy for lunch today! Thanks for thinking of it. I polished off my Jello yesterday but I'm still trying to get the additional fluids. I had no idea it would be so hard to just drink water! I'm been adding Mio flavors to it so it doesn't taste like straight Water (which I enjoy best when very cold). I've not been hungry once since the surgery but I do get the oddest cravings - this morning it was au gratin potatoes!

Hey Joybell, Protein was only allowed to be added as of today but it tasted very good - 8 ounce skim milk with no sugar added Carnation instant Breakfast with added unflavored protein. I'm starting to wonder if they really took out most of the stomach! Just the shooting pain with Water and pain in the lower right abdomen - huh! maybe that's what they did - not WLS - they took out my appendix! lol, no, but seriously, I have no problem with anything but the water...

I wasn't told when to drink or eat so I just keep on drinking the Isopure at 40 protein each bottles and I also got some nectar packets at the healthfood store. The nectars are a flavoring for water with protein. Until the 24th I can only do liquid, puddings cream Soups, broths and yogurt no lumps or chunks. I am doing fairly well on this and must be adequately hydrated my pee is almost clear. If only I could go #2 it would be nice. I started adding Probiotics to my yogurt, I didn't ask but perhaps I should. I will also ask about spylium. I started taking Tylenol liquid for adults instead of the opiate during the day so it may help. I could only find the house brand at wallgreen. I think I'm rambling.

I have no craving at all, I could be at Sees and wouldn't be interested in any of their goodies, not even my old addiction the vanilla lollipops. i hope it stays that way and that all the gremlins have been yanked out. I know its not what they are called but i prefer calling then that.

A question I will ask tomorrow is if there is such a thing as too much protein, I am getting about a 100 a day now. I know that too much protein can do a number on your kidneys. Perhaps short term is ok.

One more question, were you able to eat the 1 can of tuna?

Do I just put the tuna in a blender?

I'm only on day four but everything is going well I need something else to eat ... Any suggestions ... I've had broth but I'm thinking of moving to puréed a little faster because nothing is settling on my stomach I'm taking a medicine to coat my stomach and heartburn medicine in order to sleep without gas pains ...

Angie I would not move to puréed until your doc says. You can try sugar free pudding, that was easy for me. Also Dannon Light an Fit Greek Yogurt in Coconut Vanilla saved me.

Thanks but I really hate pudding and yogurt but I appreciate the offers
