You go Mischievous1. One day at a time, that is all you have to committ to is one day at a time. Heck sometime I take it one hour at a time....LOL. I have committed to going to the gym for 5 min. four day a week. Most days I just don't want to go, so I have a rule, I have to go for at least 5 min. I have yet to only stay that long, once I get there I stay for a hour or more. Funny I know, but I am trying to retrain this little fat child in me.

Hey, guess what, I did not weight myself this morning.......and I feel great about the day.

Good for you! I haven't weighed myself either. I am really loose right now and feel like i'm eating everything in sight...i'm not sure that's good or bad since I'm not weighing, but I really do NOT think I am going past 1500 calories a day....so maybe it will kick start my weight loss again. I should schedule a fill, but i'm still feeling ALOT of restriction in the AM and i'm enjoying being able to eat healthy foods again and i'm working on my food addiction while i'm able to eat it. ( I even ate a little sushi last week! ) Tonight I had a turkey burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun and had some pickle, onion, Tomato and ketchup and mustard...it was WONDERFUL! I ate the WHOLE burger though, before I would have had a bite or two so like I said I may be a bit loose.

Laura, I like your 5 minute Gym rule. Getting THERE is the biggest battle, working out is actually enjoyable and i'm only making it TO the gym 1-2x a week, so I will try to do a 5 min/5 day a week goal this next week and see how it works....what I do to make myself enjoy my visit is after I get off the treadmill or elliptical for 30 minutes, I get on a stationary bicycle and just peddle slowly to burn fat and I stay as long as it takes to read my latest people magazine from cover to cover...(I NEVER am able to do that at home with a 3 year old, so this is a treat!!)

Sue-

I had the NEED to get on the scale every single day too...but I've had enough. Over the past couple of days I've realized something... I'm in a size 14. When I wore a size 14 about 7 or 8 years ago I weighed 168 lbs. I now weigh 212... WHAT GIVES?!?! Deep down I'm starting to feel that I DO want to weigh 150... but realistically, what size would I be in once I do reach 150? A zero??? I dont want to be a bag of bones! HAHA...

So, I'll be weighed in when I go for my appt. on 5/5... then I wont weigh again until my anniversary. If I reach my Memorial Day goal... then great... if not.. then try...try again!

That is so not true for me, since i've had my baby, I have excess "girth" so even though I'm in a 16 and the butt is -as my husband so sweetly put it - starting to bag, the waist is tight....I need a TT!! She was worth it ALL but darnit that excess stomach "tissue" or whatever it is - :tongue_smilie:is so not fun..

Good Monday Morning All....

Went for a fill last Friday. The last fill I had was in Dec., at that time I had 2.6 in my 4cc band. When he pulled out the Fluid it showed I only had 2.0. He said that was not anything to worry about, and then put began my fill. He made me drink the Water and adjusted me to 3.0. I was on full liquids for the next 24 hours, no problems. I was able to eat some solids yesterday, having no problem gettin in my fluids. But, last night I woke up with awful reflux, spitting and coughing. I have not had that since my surgery. I did have a small snack about 8:30, and was thinking that maybe that did not help. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think I am too tight? I don't feel like I am. I did take Zantac, it helped a little. Any advise would help....

Laura...

Sometimes your stomach gets irritated by something, and a new fill can certainly do it. I haven't had that exact reaction happen, but my first thing is always to go back on liquids for a day or two to give the tummy a rest and let it calm down, then start back on solids slowly. A check with you Doc is never a bad idea.

Thanks Sue,

I think you may be right about being irritated, he did take the Fluid in and out a few time. He said he wanted to flush it out to make sure there was not air in the line. I had lost .6 cc since December. So I think it just maybe brused. (I Hope that is all). I was on liquids Friday and did mushies Sat. and I ate some roast yesterday. Might of been too much too soon. Taking it easy today. Hope will not have the same experience tonight. If I do then I will call the Doc.

YEA no reflux last night. I did not eat after 7:00 and did mushies all day. It is feels so wonderful to have a good nights sleep.

I still have not weighed myself. I sure want too, but I am going to do this. I will not be ruled by the scales, I will not let them determine how I will feel about myself. I did workout last night, ate by the rules, got all of my Water in, and my pants (size 8) feel a little loose around the waist. So I think today I will find me a size 7 and see how close I am to getting into them.

I'm a little worried something may be wrong with my band...

Since my fill I've had little to no restriction.....and when he was giving me the fill he said it felt tight... so there HAD to be some in there...

TOM is here too... .still... nothing. If anything I can ALWAYS count on TOM to make things difficult. I even ate a whole slice of Tomato pie (with the really thick crust) last night... nothing. Not even close to a PB (not that I look forward to PB'ing... but it lets me know to take it easy)

I have another appt on 5/5... I'm going away for the first weekend in May so I'm afraid of bumping up my appt...then being overfilled and having problems while away from home...so I guess I'll just tough it out until then.

All I can say is WOW Manatee!!!!!! You look great, I bet you feel good also. You have done wonderful!

Melissa - I hope there is nothing wrong with your band. That is one of my biggest worries. Now that I have had it for almost a year, I cannot and do not want to live without it. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hello all,

Melissa - I like you hope there is nothing wrong with my band. They put me back up to 3.25 last Thursday but I don't feel any restriction. I can eat anything and I am getting depressed about it. I guess that the first year anniversary coming up and not being at goal wght is depressing me a bit. Plus this is a big birthday for me (50 on May 20th). So reality is sitting in. I am going to be over wght at 50. Never young again. I didn't know it would hit me so hard. Sorry for the downer mood. I can't waith to pull out of it. Also, I am discouraged because I can't seem to get back on track with my eating. I was so hoping the fill would kick me back into the right mode.

Manatee you look really good.

Blessing all, Weazer

I have gained 5 pounds since my unfill! I feel fat....all my size 12 clothes no longer fits around the waist....but I am still not showing a baby bump yet....its just fat!! LOL!! I miss you guys....I should really keep posting...but I feel weird....being....that I have NO restriction and everything I eat goes down like butter. I have had HUGE down falls....I have been eating everything.....and I feel like crap. Now I dont eat as much as I did before the band but I am starting to eat all the junk food and I need to get myself back in check. Ohhhhh.....my blood pressure is now high....wich I thought wouldnt be a problem since I had been off of BP medicine for a long while now since I lost the weight......and on top of that they think I am going to have gestional diabetes...wich I did NOT have w/ my other two children. I am at a healthier weight now than when I had my other kids so I dont understand.....maybe its because I am no spring chicken anymore...I am old!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
