May 2007 Banders

Know what I just noticed... That girl.. the one on the top of the screen where it says 'lapbandtalk'... her reflection is bigger than she is.. I guess that's why she's up there... Now it makes a little sense, because I was like.. Um, who is this girl (she kind of looks like the girl on scrubs) and why is she up there?? But if you look super dooper close.. you can see a reflection behind her of an arm or something that looks bigger than hers. Maybe I have too much time on my hands?

Hey, how is everyone? I'm still doing well. I can finally lay on my side again....i'm really happy about that one:) My incisions are healing well and they only hurt when I cough, sneeze, bend over, etc. It's really not bad at all. I messed up so bad yesterday when I ate 4 bites of scrambled eggs way too fast. I got sooooooo sick. Anyway, I learned my lesson....we HAVE TO eat slowly! I love losing weight. Good luck to all you fellow May bandsters and hang in there!!

Hey Raysbabe, you can have scrambled eggs? Lucky you, I was banded on the 2nd and have to be on full liquids for two weeks. I would kill for a scrambled egg. Oh well, only one more week to go and then I can mushies. OH, I live not far from Nashville, we are almost neighbors.

I dunno, her hair looks the same on the shoulder -- but that would make sense if it was her "former" self.

Has anyone else been using any type of product that will help prepare your skin. I'm 18 na dI think I would just DIE if I had an abundance of loose skin. I am expecting moderate but thats about it. I have been using Dove's firming lotion for a about a month in hopes to "prepare my skin" has anyone else tried a product like this? How has it worked.

I'm May 29.

Does that still make me a May banster or do I qualify for the June Banster category! ??? !!!

I'd say May too! Welcome!

I see what you mean! I think it is her reflection. But they chopped her 'reflected' head off! hahaha! Ok, it wasn't that funny...maybe I need more pain meds...

You're 18 right? Trust me, your skin will probably 'bounce' back! Us old birds would kill for some 18 year old skin! I have heard though that Vitamin E is good for that, so you might check at your local health food store or GMC and see what they recommend.

Definitely is right! I was banded yesterday! I think that my reply email was confusing though...I was trying to agree that cmacinga was a May.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
