Question?
Has anyone run into the situation where the insurance company says you're approved but the doctor's office says they haven't heard anything yet?
I recently completed my 6 month supervised weight management and faxed info over to my doctors office. The doctor told me they would submit last Friday but they submitted on Thursday, March 6th. Out of curiosity I called the insurance company to make sure the doctor had submitted and was told I was approved for 2 nights, April 14 & 15. I called the doctors office yesterday to find out what else I needed to do and was told still no word yet and that it was just submitted and I should wait. Does it take a while for the insurance company to submit paper work back to doctor's office? I'm probably just being anxious but inquiring minds want to know. Also, is the date the insurance company gives you the date that surgery will definitely take place? How did this part of the process go for you guys and what were the next steps for you?
