Yea, that's her. I went Wednesday for my fill and I finally hit the 30 pound weightloss mark today. I'm so glad. Have you had a fill yet?

Way to go on the 30 pound mark! I've had one fill. I get another one on the 18th. I really need it. I am still struggling with hunger too soon.

You should notice a big difference with the second fill. It helped me a lot. I didn't even need the third one as soon as they said I would.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey Carrie. I had my fill today. I could tell a difference when I was drinking the barium and while drinking the Water. I am starving right now though.

I have given up ever getting my money back from them. I asked again about my over payment. Today she told me that I had a hernia repair (I know I didn't because I asked at the hospital). The money is gone and I will never get it back. I just went ahead and paid for my fill and left it alone. She has been searching for a way to not give me the money back. You know that I would be hunted like a dog if I owed them.

slim, I'm sorry. I think you need to keep on trying to get it back. If you didn't have a hernia repair, tell them you checked with the hospital and they said you didn't have one. If you have an EOB from your insurance company, I would call the insurance company and tell them what is going on. The office is prohibited by law to bill you more than what insurance says you owe. (I know all this stuff because I work in a doctor's office). They finally got my insurance straightened out. They owe me about $400. I called Johnna last week and she said they haven't received the check from my insurance company. I am going to call her back today. I really need that money.

Who did your fill? The last 2 fills I have had have been too tight. I have had to go back and have some taken out twice. I have been very aggrevated with them. They do this stuff everyday, they should know how much Fluid to put in.

Dr. Ponce did it this time. He put in 1cc. I guess it will take a few days to see if I really feel a difference.

He did. He said that they put in 1.6cc in my first fill and that he added 1cc. I was asking what size band I had and mentioned that I knew that they didn't tell what they put in. He said that he didn't mind telling me, but he just didn't want us comparing notes (exactly what we do anyway).

Oh yeah, I left a message for Johnna about my money. I told her that I looked through my paperwork from the hospital and that we had asked about a hernia and I was told at that time that I didn't have a hernia repair. We shall see what happens.

All they would tell me is I have a 10cc band. Brooke wouldn't tell me anything else. Good luck with your money. I called her today and she said they are waiting on insurance to pay for my last fills and unfills and then I can get a refund.

That is what she told me when I called last week. I told her then that I had the EOB showing it paid. That is when she started talking about the hernia repair.

Brooke wouldn't tell me at my first fill. Dr. Ponce only came in at the last minute on that one. This time he did everything but hand me the barium. He actually looked a little surprised when I said that I knew that they wouldn't tell me how much was in my band. He went on to explain why the small steps on the fills. I don't see what difference it makes to them whether we want to know or not. It's not like they are going to let us tell them how much fill we want anyway, so I don't see what the big deal is.

slim, if you don't have any luck with Johnna, call the Dalton office. I think they handle most of the billing anyway.

Thanks for telling me that. I will call them because Johnna isn't even calling me back.

Sorry to hear that you guys are having problems with Dr. Ponce's office. I have not had any problems with them at all. Tiffany usually calls me back within a day and now that they have added Jennifer it's even faster.

They also don't tell me how much they put in, but I don't really care. As long as it feels right I don't care how much is in the band. Brooke has done all my fills and she has done great every time.

I do attend support group meetings every month and think they are very important and helpful.

The last 2 fills I have had have been too tight. I have had to go back and have some taken out twice. I have been very aggrevated with them. They do this stuff everyday, they should know how much Fluid to put in.

They do this stuff every day, yes, but everyone is so different. 99% of the time it works as expected and in your case it just didn't. There is a lady that comes to support group meetings who has had problems eating since the very beginning, it's not because they did something wrong, but she's just different!

Good luck to both of you and congrats on your weight loss so far!! :)
