I'm 5 weeks out and have three boys ages 11, 6, and 1. It has been challenging for me and I'm exhausted! I work and am in the last 3 months of school! Crazy life. Hopefully we can motivate each other!

Honestly my recovery was super easy. I felt 95% back to normal on day 3. I have 3 kiddos and we run a couple businesses. I have much more energy than ever before.

I think you will be amazed at how well you will do. Today I climbed up a

3 story circular enclosed tube slide to play with my toddler. Them preceded to enjoy going down the slide. I still remember when I used to freak out if the kids got hurt on one of those massive playgrounds. I knew I wouldn't be able to fit inside and go after my child. Now, I did it for fun!

Hi!! I'm heather! 35, mom to 3 also. 9,11, and 18. I have been a SAHM the past several months as we moved from Oklahoma to NY after the teacher hiring season was over. I have been a teacher for the past 14 years. I just had my surgery on march 7th!! I'm doing good and just moved into the yogurt, potatoes, and cottage cheese today!! Thank ya Jesus!!! The liquid phase was...awful! My recovery is going well...praise God! Just a little sore still and mostly only if I over do it. Glad y'all are doing well too!!

Hi! I'm 3mos from surgery and am down a little over 50lbs (72.5lbs) all together. I have a 14yo and a 9yo. Can I count my hubby he's 33;)? lol we just moved to Washington DC for a job promotion about a month after my surgery....it's been insane! Trying to establish our routines in a new place and me having a new job, with new eating habits! It's been hard and frustrating but also wonderful and liberating. I have so much more energy and for the first time in my daughters life-I slid down the slide with her! Twice! Sometimes my family can't keep up with me now!

My daughter is 13 and she is super excited to have me be skinny again and she said she will love shopping for clothes with me and being able to do fun stuff with me when I'm a normal weight. She and I already share Entrees at restaurants so that wont be a big change.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
