I'm struggling to get all my protein

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on 2/7. I've been cleared for soft foods (moist fish, chicken, etc) and can start adding in anything I can tolerate (except tough meats) on Friday. I'm eating well. My Nut and Dr. Have me on high Protein, low carbs. They both say to continue with Protein shakes for a while with my foods to get in 70-80 grams a day. I was doing fine with shakes, but the past few days it takes everything in me to get them down. I thought it might be the milk, but I've tried the syntax nectar lemonade today and I can't get past the smell.

Any helpful hints? I've tried adding Peanut Butter, for anti syrups, PB2, etc, but then the shakes are thick or too sweet.

I have been drinking the New Whey Liquid Protein. its 3.4 oz and has 42g of Protein in it. You drink it in a couple of sips. Good flavors also. I buy mine off of Amazon but i think you can get it anywhere.

I use the GNC Pro Performance whey Protein to fortify Greek Yogurt. You can also eat the canned corned beef hash if you chew it really well. It has a ton of sodium, but is a different flavor profile for when you get really tired of your usual foods. I have found that the boredom with the food comes and goes, so just switch things up a bit and you can probably go back to the shakes in a day or two.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
