How many calories on pre-op diet?

How many calories are you all getting on your pre-op diet?? I am allowed two protein shakes and a lean protein meal each day for 10 days. He said calories don't matter... But so far I'm only getting about 600 calories a day. Is this normal? I'm dying!!!
