Feb 2007 Bandsters: April Challenge

Recommended Posts

Okay I really like how Boo has set up the challenge for her group so I really hope she does not mind me kinda stealing the set up. Instead of a certain number of days per week exercising lets shoot for 20 days of movement, 30 minutes per day. The 30 minutes does not have to be consecutive, it can be broken up into two 15 minutes sessions or even three 10 minutes sessions since some of us might be very new to exercise and need it! We can do it!!!!!!

So let's shoot for 20!

I am totally on board with you guys! Great idea! I have a full time job and 2 toddlers so it should be a real challenge to find time to exercise regularly, but I am up for it. I really need to get moving!:)

I feel your pain honey! I have a 6 year old kindergartener who is also in dance and softball and a 3 year old and I work 46 hours a week. I usually get up at 4:45 in the morning to get my exercising in. The first few times it was relly rough but once you get used to it it is not so bad.

Gday Babygrl, I am such a bad Feb 07 bandster! I hardly ever check in. Anyway make it an exercise challenge I reckon. Also lets all try not to overeat at Pesach and Easter.:) This is my first Pesach being banded. Luckily we don't eat bread over passover, coz I can't anyway!

I am ready to workout!

I'm up for the exercise challenge! I'll be joining you by walking on treadmill 20 minutes and a 10 minute workout with my stretch bands 4 times a week starting April 1st. I think this a reachable goal for me.

Yep, that's reasonable for everyone, I think. :clap2:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
