What's For Breakfast Today?

Recommended Posts

Still on the "Full" liquid stage of my post-op diet. Have another 2-3 weeks and then I will slowly start adding in soft veggies ( don't think that I can do "pureed" stuff...eeewwww). Trying to keep my carbs at about 50 grams per day ( if possible)...and the key word here is TRYING. Going to do my best to get in at least 40 oz. of pure Water. No teas..no Protein waters... just good ole H20. Started back using myfitness pal to keep track of my carbs/fat/sugar/sodium. I also am trying to get an idea of how many calories I eat on average. So what have some of you veterans/newbies had or will have for Breakfast today?

For me an Atkins Cafe Caramel shake ... it doesn't taste all that great...not sure if I will buy them again.. but they have 15 grams of protein and about 4 grams of carbs so I might keep 'em around for a while. Especially when I return back to work.

For me it is finally a casual Sunday Morning! This is a time that I truly enjoy with my wife and I am glad to be back to normal at 8 weeks out.

My Breakfast today is 2 scrambled eggs with 2 slices of turkey bacon, a newspaper and the TV on morning news shows.

I actually made Breakfast muffins: eggs, turkey sausage crumbles, and spinach. Everyone in the family had 2, and I had one.

Yummy and I have breakfast for tomorrow too :)

Try heating the Atkins Shake... Makes it taste 10x better! Just like a cappuccino! For me I like to have an inside out omelette, egg and cheese rolled in turkey slices!

Whipped cottage cheese and peaches/pears.... and little too much coffee. I am so bored with eating. I need to make a trip to the grocery store today.

I'm impressed with everyone's breakfasts! In order to ensure Protein I'm having 8oz of skinny chocolate milk (with DHA and Omega-3) and a scoop of unflavored whey Protein powder - about 24 grams of Protein.

I'll have an egg (scrambler) and a piece of turkey sausage for lunch and a few ounces of homemade chili for dinner.

I find it really hard to eat early on in the day...hoping that will improve!

Main goal is Water, Water, water today at 5.5 weeks out!

My breakfast is the same 20-22 days of the month. I eat plain yogurt sweetened with 1 tbs agave nectar, 12 almonds or cashews, 2 tsp chia seed, or sometimes dried fruit, 2 tsp granola. The other days I either have a Protein Shake or two eggs with 1 oz cheese.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
