March 2014 Surgery!

Recommended Posts

Arhhhhh!!! I have been so good not cheated once in the last 2 weeks and have lost 16lbs in that 2 weeks. Tonight I are chicken I know I shouldn't of and surgery is in 3 days... Do u think I've stuffed myself up for surgery? I'm back on pre op diet now and won't cheat again... Help!! Freaking out!!!!

You should be fine, some pre-op diets allow food. I didn't have a pre-op liquid diet until day before surgery. They just told me to not eat fast food or fatty foods or red meat. I just have to make sure and have Protein supplements.

What did everyone stock up on for their 2 week diet?

I need to go shopping this weekend and trying to get some ideas.

Protein shakes! costco got a new flavor, strawberries and cream...I love it not as thick as chocolate and vanilla! I also bought chicken, fish, chicken stock, sugar free Popsicles and Jello fruit and veggies.

Shawna, I feel ya. I started my liquid diet Friday. I had a headache by the afternoon that lasted all the way till this afternoon. I spent most of the day yesterday in bed. I couldn't even open my eyes my head hurt so bad. I've also been nauseous. Hopefully it subsides in a day or two because I'm on this diet till the 13th. I'm sticking to it though, it'll be worth it in the long run!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
