Liver was still too large had to abort surgery

Today is 2/4/2014 the day after surgery. I am very disappointed, my surgeon had to abort my sleeve surgery because my liver was still to big.

Nothing worse than waking up in recovery to find out they were unable to do the surgery.

I am so sorry! You must be so disappointed :( xoxo

I'm so sorry.

Sorry to hear that. But think of it this way - it's always better when surgeons err on the side of caution, rather than possibly putting you at great risk of complications or even mortality. Don't think of this as the end of the road, it's only a bump. You and your surgical team will do some re-assessment I am sure and they will work with you until you get that liver size down.

I'm so sorry, darlin...can only imagine how you felt when they told you. Do you know how long until they try again?

Wow, I am sorry to hear this. But I am curious to know what is the plan now. I had my surgery and after, the doc called my mom and told her that I had thae largest stomach he had ever removed. He also told her my liver was enlarged, and it will go back to its normal size after I loose some weight. Keep your head up. Set your mind as if you had the surgery, and do the same things to help you loose. You can do it!
