I'm 3 months out and can only manage getting in about 500 cal daily. I eat egg custard, eggs, dannon light &fit Greek yogurt, kashi Protein Cereal, Braums low fat milk, Jerky, blackened chicken, cheese sticks, Quest bars, cottage cheese and peaches and I drink hot chai spiced tea to help calm my stomach and warm me up daily. I'd love to hear what you are all eating as well.

I am almost 2.5 months out. I try to stay between 700-900 calories. I have to really watch this b/c for me I can easy go over since I eat high fat/low carb . I usually stay below 15 carbs and below 5 grams of sugar a day and I get about 65 grams of Protein but I want to increase this slightly.

I'm just eating normal, but, I try to do healthy. This is an example of what I had yesterday.

Breakfast-oatmeal

Lunch-Smart Ones chicken Enchilada

Dinner- 2 (very small) baby back ribs and 1/4 cup of potato salad, 1/4 cup broccoli/carrots.

Snack-100 calorie packet of walnuts and almonds

Average about 700-800 cals a day. But, I've been on a stall for 3 weeks now. Ugh, frustrating

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
