I keep taking my CPAP off in my sleep

I put my mask on before I sleep, it's comfortable, I've been doing it for 4 months now, and lately I wake up and it's on the floor. I have no idea when/how it happens. Is that a sign that I maybe don't need it anymore? I am on a 6, but ramp from 4 each night. What should I do? Anyone else do this?

i've been taking it off towards morning because it isn't keeping a good seal. makes all kinds of noise and scares the c@#$ out of me. the only person that can answer if you need it or not is your sleep doctor. but i am relying on my hubby since my apnea doctor retired. he says i don't snore anymore. but i feel comfortable when i go to sleep so will wear it for at least 20 more wt. loss lbs.

I also put it on every night and then around 2 or 3 or 4 I take it off....same as terry...it gets a bad seal and keeps waking me up....hubby also says Im not snoring and i feel ok without it but i do know i need to follow up with doctor to see if i can get rid of it....i sure hope so!

Probably not getting a good seal due to your wt loss. I believe I'd ask for a new sleep study to see if it's still needed.
