Who to talk to regarding insurance

Hello

After you submitted to insurance and called to get an update as to where it was in the process, who did you speak to at the insuranace company. Was it member services, or a supervisor, or who?

Thanks!

  • Your doctors office should update you; however if you call the insurance company you can tell them you are checking on an authorization and they should give you to the right department... also you may want to get a case manager to help with all this...

When it's summitted, you'd want to speak to someone in the clinical services department. This is the department that gives the determination.

The coordinator at my OS office took care of everything. And all the while I bugged her, she kept her cool and was very nice and thorough getting the approval. I never spoke to or contacted the insurance.

The coordinator in my suegeon's

Office has been phenomenal. She takes all my calls or calls me back within an hour. I called the insurance company today and member services told me it was under review.
