  1. OMG I'M LATE! CW 196 GW 175
  2. 1st time challenge, i'm in!
  3. I can relate. My relationship isn't a total walk in the park either. I've read a lot and "most" relationship goes to hell. (excuse my French) But, I've read some that has gotten better. I've been trying but noticed that since surgery my patience is a lot shorter than normal. Therefore, that doesn't help. I know it's not my fault for him to be ignorant, so I just do me!
  4. i'm 33. surgery feb18th. hw was 260, consult weight 248, sw 238, i'm currently shy of 6 months bouncing from 198-199. about 14lbs from surgeons goal. slow with stalls, but better than stalling for yrs.

  6. Ok, let's see...i'm 33, 5'7.5''. my hw was 260, consult weight 248, sw 238, current weight 198 and I am 1 wk shy of 6 months. so down 40 lbs since surgey and 48 lbs since consult and preop. I haven't tracked monthly really, but I did lost 10 lbs the 1st wk after surgery, then stalled at wk 3. I am a slow loser, but do remember that even though the scale doesn't move, u are still losing inches. I don't know how to post pictures here, but i'll try to update my profile today.
  7. So yesterday i went to one of my hairdressers that i haven't been to since about a month and a half before surgery. Immediately after i said hello, She was like OMG, You have lost alot of weight. then continues to say, you're about the size you were when i first started doing your hair about 5 years ago. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!! What... did she say that? i'm all smiles over here. So i'm leaving work early today and won't return here on site for over a month. Many people here says daily or no less than every other day about how much weight i've lost, how good i look, or asking how much weight lost, etc. I'll be out of town on buisness for 2 weeks, go on vacation for a week, then back out of town for another week or two. SO when i return back at my site hummmm, let's say at least June 2nd, Wonder what look, questions, or wise remarks that i will get? Lol, What do you think?
  8. Im cool with it. friend me...I'm still new only 10 weeks post op. Congrats on starting your new journey in life.
  9. So i just realized that i'm only 36.8 away from my surgeons goals, and 51.8 away from my personal goals. Hell yea i'm excited today.
  10. I actually live in sc, but up in the Raleigh/mooresville area alot due to work.I'll actually be up that way monday for abt 2 wks minus the weekend of course.
  11. It's good that i saw this post. I'll be in and out of the rahleigh/mooresville area for a cpl weeks here and there for work. I was just looking on the internet earlier this morning for a support group i could attend while being in the area. I'm gonna miss my 1st support group meeting because i'll be there monday- friday and the meeting is tuesday. It would be very nice to interact with someone that is on the same journey as i am.

  13. Nita, i'm so proud of you that y ou have made a choice. It's to many times in life that we put ourselves and our health on the back burner for others. You've made a wonderful decision. Remember, we are always here! I'm not that far out, but friend me, ask me any questions, whatever. I'll be happy to be there for you also. Maybe we could even help each other. Have a wonderful day. ANd make sure you come back to check in soon as you're feeling a little better. i'll be looking for u.
  14. I'm about 8 days out from surgery behind u. I am also having a slow loss. But, i have lost some inches. So if you're not losing the weight, it could be inches, and or Water retention. I just decided to have faith. We've came this far and it's no turning back now. The advice that was given to me was, up your water and your Protein and try lowering your carb intake. That may cause for you to go over your normal calories a little.
  15. You also have to look at water retintion. So just be patient. Easier said than done, i KNOW!!! lol
  16. Congrats! We have the same starting weight and I'm guessing our surgeries were close. I was sleeved 2/18 and so far I've only lost a total of 34 lbs. 24 post op, so I'm a slow loser also. We should keep in touch threw this journey. Friend me if you'd like.
  17. Almost 8 weeks (Feb 18th) 24lbs since surgery BMI 33.0
  18. well i was sleeved the day after you and i have only lost 23lbs since surgery. But i have been losing inches even though the scale wasn't moving. I too feel like i am struggling sometimes because it has gotten harder for me to get my protein drinks down. But just stay the course, we'll make it.
  19. My surgery was the day after yours, but don't get down on yourself. As of today, I've only lost a total of 16lbs also. That's total! I hitter a stall after wk 1 n didn't loose anything else til last week n lost a lb then another here n there. I'm still not getting in all my water either, but I didn't notice the weight change until I upped my protein. So it's worth a try.
  20. congrats on your surgery. I remember the morning i got the call when i didnt expect. I called the insurance office but they were closed due to the holiday. But right after i hanged up with the dietician from the surgeons office the phone ringed back. I thought they forgot to tell me something, but it was the nurse calling to tell me that i was approved and to set uo my preop appts. I was soooooo excited that day, well all week rather that i couldn't sleep at night.
