Hi Everyone,

I have a fill tomorrow at 9.50. I will pop into Larry Murphys after if anyone is around. Some of you have my number so just give me a buzz if your looking to meet up.

Edel: Welcome back. Glad your doing well. That port pain gets better everyday!!

Ailbhe: Its good to hear you so positive. Even though we do this for ourselves, to feel better and be healthy, it is great when people notice. Other people have noticed my weight loss. I feel it in my clothes but cant see it at all really when I look in a mirror. I cant believe it is nearly six months already. Over 50lbs is just amazing isnt it. Well done, its brilliant.

Elsie

Hi All,

Went to see Fredrick today and it's official my band is leaking. It will cost between two and four grand to get fixed in Brussels. My appointment is for the 11th of September. Bit upset about it all.

Sorry Elsie was a bit shocked when I came out and wasn't very chatty.

I knew myself my band was leaking but them actually confirming and telling me I needed an op to fix it upset me a bit. Made it seem real I suppose! Can't believe I paid 10k for and band and probably another 4k to fix it.... I doubt the hosital group will want to know.

Hi Skinny

Hospital Group were there today as well - the receptionist sent me there first as she didn't appear to know that Frederik and Chris from ECFS were there. Don't know if you knew that - may have been worthwhile having a chat to them?

I got an extra 1.5ml today and was down a kg (which isn't too bad given I had no restriction whatsoever for the last 7 weeks) - so I have 3.5ml in total now. Hopefully I will get some restriction happening - otherwise I'll be back up in September.

Hope you are all doing well, Ailbhe sounds like you are doing really well both mentally and physically! Great to hear.

Siepie

Hey all. Hope you all enjoyed your fills yesterday and that they work well.

Skinny, I'm so sorry to hear about your band. That's a terrible blow and you've done so well. It's terrible to have a set back after so long. I really hope it works out well for you.

Elsie, how are you keeping? I'm trying to be as positive as possible.

8 weeks today since we broke up and I haven't moved on at all really.:smile2: But I've finally decided to do what everyone has been telling me to do and that is stop trying to be friends with ex.

He really wants to be friends and he has really been trying to make to work but I'm still not ready to be "just friends". We're totally civil to each other and there's no animosity so there's no issues about him seeing our daughter or it being uncomfortable when we see each other.

But he wants to be friends where we have dinner together and watch DVDs or he calls and we chat for a couple of hours or we bring the little one to the park together or to his mothers together.

I've tried and I can't take it. It's too much. So i'm putting myself first and today is day one of doing it my way. ie No texting unless it's about access, no chatting, no meeting up, no hearing about his life with his new girlfriend... Just me and myself and getting my own life back.

Maybe in time we can have chats and maybe even be friends but not yet.

My poor battered pride can't take it :)

Hi Guys, sounds as if the fills went well for most of you. Skinny, sorry to hear about your band.. what a bummer.

Roe, Elsie etc glad no cancelled flights etc this time.

Ailbhe, you are doing fab on all fronts, you do what feels right for you, all we can do is make the decision that is right for us at any given time.

I'm doing well, the last fill I got (in Belfast) has made a difference, I'm 68lbs down, 2lbs off 5 stone. Can't quite believe it sometimes.

Coco, hope all going well for you.

Hi Marge how did the fill go?. Did you get 1 or 2ml in, and did it give you any restriction?.

hello Roe

How are you. I've absolutly no restriction whatsoever. I know I should be on liquids but I had a bit of fish that went down fine so then I had a couple of spuds and I won't say what else I ate. I a bit fed up I thought I'de have a little bit of restriction. I want to get back to the restriction I had after the op.

Hello Flirty ass I can see your on line and I know you met Roe at the fiil on Thur. I'm a bit Dyslexic and every time I read your name I read it as filthy ass. sorry. How did your fill go?

Marge

I think your right, you can't be friends with an x not for the first while. you need to get over him and the only way you can do that is not have him in your life. I know you still have to meet because of your child but keep that civil and quick. It is going to take awhile to get over him as he was a big part of your day to day routine for a long time and no he's not anymore.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
