Acid reflux is awful!

I'm nearly 8 months post-op and have just spent the worst night ever with my first ever experience of acid reflux it's awful!! Acid burning right up into my throat all night and now I have a croaky painful throat. This is bad in so many ways not least because I'm a singer and I really cannot have my voice affected by this. I rang my provider and they started me on 20mg Omeprazole a PPI morning and night. I have tried chewing on gaviscone in between and still have a really burning throat. I've got a gig in 2 days from now and I am croaking! Will I be ok in time now I've started on the meds does anyone know?

Ok thanks I took mine this morning and then had a cup of tea so was worried I had messed up my meds when I need it most.

I take mine then have a cup of tea everyday, so no worries. Hope you feel better.
