I have much more energy! I can go without taking a nap throughout the whole day. I can walk a 2 mile trail without loosing breath and I can do 30 minutes on the elliptical without stopping. I can say that I have hit a stall but I know that my body mass is still shrinking. My wedding ring is falling off and a 18 inch chain sits in my cleavage now. lol. but I am so happy with my progress even with the complications that I have had. I have my 3 month check up today and I am down 67 pounds according to my scale. I am in a 16-18 pant from a 22-24 and a xl from a 2xl-3xl.

I weighed myself today. I try not to do it too often. I've lost 30 lbs. I know it's slow compared to most but I am thrilled!!! Hope everyone else is doing well.

My surgery was Jan 9. I'm doing good. I'm slow loser but doc said normal. 2# a week. I weight in at 154 today. Was 190 at surgery. I jog 3 miles a morning and am happy so far. I eat the same stuff mostly.. get tired of it but my nut is very strict and still has me on liquids, oatmeal, cheese, and eggs.. no mushies yet. I see him in 2 weeks and get my next diet plan. I have much more energy, don't nap in the day and having trouble sleeping at night.

That's fantastic!! I would say for your starting weight you are doing great!! I started similar, 195, currently 157. I get frustrated that it's not coming off faster, or as fast as it was. However it is still coming off! What's your goal? Mine was 145, but now that I'm lowering it to 135, realizing as I get smaller there's more to lose.

Path2me, my goal is about 125-130. I get frustrated too at times but it still drops.. since I jog and have leg muscles I'm small for the weight.. I do miss salads and other healthy foods but in time we will meet again!!

Well, I had surgery on January 9th. I have lost 49 lbs since surgery with me losing 118 lbs in the past year. I am eating pretty much what I want within reason while staying within the sugar/fat/protein triangle. I even have small baby spinach salad loaded with meat and a cap-ful of dressing. My problem that I have been having has been dizzy spells, almost fainting, and fatigue on a daily basis. I talked with my PCP and GI Nutrition team. They ruled out deficiencies and hypoglycemia. I have been referred to a cardiologist because since surgery my blood pressure has gotten really low as well as my pre-surgical EKGs came back with sinus bradycardia and an arrhythmia. So I have to find out what is going on. I find it funny that I am losing weight to get healthy and now I might have to get a pacemaker in order for my heart to speed up and pump harder in order to be healthy. But other than that I find myself walking more, trying out yoga, and signing up for 5K races. I feel like a new person.

Since we are similar starting weight, surgery date, goals and loss - we can help motivate each other though the ups and downs... Hopefully more downs, in the good way ;)

Bummer! I gained 3.5 pounds. I have a Protein Shake in the a.m. An egg in the afternoon, and for dinner I have a piece of chicken, steak, or hamburg. I'm lactose intolerant so it's hard to find safe foods to eat. I'm working out everyday. I'm confused as to why I'm gaining.

I am a June, 2013 RNY patient, so I have been doing this for a few months now. I use MyFitnessPal.com religiously. I have mine set so 40% come from Protein, 30% from fat an 30% carbs. It has been working for me. Good luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
