? For The Ladies Regarding Periods

Recommended Posts

I am almost a month out from surgery. I had my last menstrual cycle on December 6th, prior to that November 7th. My cycle comes about every 30 days and the only time I have ever went without having a period was when I was pregnant with my daughter (I'm not pregnant!) and when I was breast feeding her (haven't breast fed her in almost 2 years now).

My period is a week late and I'm wondering if this is normal after being sleeved? Has anyone else experienced an absent period due to getting the VSG and when does your period normally return?

hey ree after I got my surgery I started to regulate with my period.

usually getting it every month around the same time .... I did skip one month and I got it last month and I was supposed to get it this month the 2nd and I just got it yesterday I think it's pretty normal to be a week late .... our bodies are still adjusting to our surgery :) if you have any concerns I would call my surgeon just to be on the safe side

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
