Hi everyone! Thank you for the we'll wishes! I was sleeved as of 10am today. I am on dilaudit, and taking advantages of every bit. I have been in and out today. Extremely tired and somewhat dizzy. I couldn't walk much the first time due to being dizzy. The walk itself was not painful at all. The staff here is AMAZING! I will try to keep everyone posted. I do know one thing, it's freakin HOT in my room. Thank goodness it's a private room. I am dying for Water....I have to wait until my leak test tomorrow :(. Off to sleep again, I can feel my eyes rolling!

Congrats! I had my surgery on 12/30. The next 4 days will likely suck. Alot! Just hang in there. Each day has gotten exponentially better. I've been back at work all week and life is almost back to normal. Well. Not normal since I've only had liquids for 11 days :)

Congrats on having the sleeve. I had mine done on 12/9/13 and it was amazing. I had minimal pain & didn't need any medication once I was sent home.

Ask your nurse can u have ice chips. That's all they allowed me 2 have my first night. You will get full very quickly, but just take your time when u start to drink. And the gas will be very annoying in the beginning but it goes away. :-)

I asked for ice chips and they said no, for the first night. Not until I have my leak test today. Oh why fun !!

Congrats I had mine on the 21st. I was so sleepy the first day my eyes were literally just shutting around 3:30am I felt more awake so I was walking for like 10min then back to bed. The second day was constant nausea for me minimum pain, I made sure I pressed the pain pump and no vomiting at least. Ice chips help a lot and sf Popsicles I hope you get your test done soon so you could have some. Good luck!

Hi. The same with me. Yesterday I was so tired and nauseous. Today I feel a little better but this pain under my ribs is crazy. I have to walk before I take the dilaudit because it makes me tired and dizzy.

I had mine on 12/11 and my first few days were rough but I made it through and you will too. Congratultions on your surgery and I hope every day it gets a little better. I was lucky to have ice chips before my leak test. I also had the sponge-things to moisten my mouth. I got up, peed, walked, peed went back to bed, woke up, peed, walked, peed and went back to bed......... the first couple of days. I pushed myself to walk as much as possible to help with the gas pain--in the shoulders UGH. Hurt like a Mother-you-know-what. I've been back to work since 12/30 and so far so good.

The one thing I was unprepared for (though I'd heard about it) was the gas. It was pretty bad and interfered with my being able to drink things. Gas-X strips helped and, after a week, it is a whole lot better.

I went to the Doc yesterday and he was pleased I was getting down about 3/4 of my required Protein at that point.

I had my sleeve done on Monday, and things r moving a long just fine, congrats to all

How much pain do you have? On a scale from 1-10 I am a 3, that's because if this same gas bubble on my left side under my ribs. It SUCKS!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
