Ok ... So I'm pretty much convinced that there is no one having surgery at the same time and place as me :( I was really hoping to meet up with someone so I will keep trying until I leave lol! I will be having surgery on January 17 with Dr. Fernando Garcia at MI hospital. I will be staying at the marriott hotel ,..... Anyone???

There will be others having surgery at the same time. Make friends with those on your hospital floor and at the Marriott. They will help you through your surgery. In addition, we are here to help you as well.

I had surgery with Dr. Garcia too. However, I was at florence hospital. I did stay at the Marriott as well. It is very nice and the people are very friendly. On a side note....DO NOT eat the provided popsicles. They are horrid!!!!! Go down to the store in the lobby and buy the popsicles it is worth the money.

Good luck on your journey. :)

You will be so busy with yourself and what is going on with you that you will not care about anyone else. Just rest and get through the surgery, and then you will find great friends here to travel this journey with! Relax, it will be good.

We are here for you.

Don't be nervous. I had my revision with Dr Garcia Sept 10/2012 and went by myself. You will for sure meet others while you are there. You will be spending your time recovering so don't worry just remember to sip, sip, sip your water constantly and the chicken broth is very good. You won't need a popsicle.
