Franklin - Columbia, Tn

Wondering if there is anyone on here that is in my area? We have support groups but I have not found them to be that helpful.

I have one at Planet Fitness but I think I'll cancel. We joined the Wellness so we can use pool this summer. Did you do sleeve or RNY? I'm just a week post op but I can't wait to get back to water aerobics at Franklin Rec. I miss it. My ultimate goal (one of them) is to do a 5k someday. But that is a long, long, loooong way off.

I had the sleeve it's been very difficult for me two days after coming home I was put on a picc line for 14 hours a day for almost two weeks but still have been successful at losing just now starting to feel normal I have energy issues and not getting in enough protein but all in all doing good

Oh no! That must have delayed your recovery a good deal. I had the sleeve too. Struggling to get in enough fluids and protein but I suppose that's normal the first week. Hope you are on the mend. I'm here and close by if you need any support. This stuff isn't for wimps!

It took me a little while but I made it through just make sure you get the fluids in even if that's all you can get in that's why I ended up on picc line I dehydrated had never felt so bad in my life it was rough and no it's definitely not for wimps and definitely not taking the easy way out last time I weighed I was down 50 pounds so I'm excited

Nothing about this is easy, that's for sure!

I believe so. Don't quote me but I was told that early in my journey. I've only been to one meeting preop. It was good but in some ways, I think this site is better.

Well it's been awhile since I have been on the site. Hope everyone is doing well. I have lost over 70 pounds since October. 29th. Have been working out at Anytime Fitness off of Kedron in spring hill. Love it and it is so clean and the equipment is really good. You can also get a trainer for around $10 a session. There is a support group that meets in Franklin that meets the 1st Monday of the month. I think anyone can attend even though it is done by Centenial. I am doing my 1st 5K in Franklin on April the 1st. Walking not running. I am excited. Let me know if any of y'all would be interested in getting together and do our own kind support group.

The 5k is April the 5th not the 1st. Sorry about that.
