I may have lost a client because I am no longer fat! HA!

In my line of work, I often meet potential clients at Starbucks for the first time. Because we've never seen each other, it's always been my habit to describe myself as "short and round with big curly brown hair" and no one has ever missed me. I can always tell if the person I am meeting is a chubster, too, because they giggle at my comment.

Today, I was the only female in the place when a heavier lady walked in who was obviously looking for me. I waved her over to the table and she looked at me and said, "I thought you said you were round. Were you trying to be funny? Making fun of fat people isn't a joke.'

EHRMAHGHERRRRRRRD!!!

I never even thought about it. I'm still short, I still have big, curly hair, but I'm no longer round. Last year at this time, I was a snug 20/XXL and now I'm a comfy size 10 in skinny pants/medium top. It took me a minute to even figure out what the heck she was referring to when she made the comment.

I was so stunned at what happened, I stuttered over my explanation. I tried to explain that I've lost a bunch of weight, yada, yada, yada, but from the look on her face and her response back, I'm pretty sure I offended her and I won't be hearing from her again.

Whooooops! There's a habit I'll have to break.

Omg, another dilemma I hadn't thought about - how do I describe myself to new clients I go to meet???

Like LL, I have always said short and round but also ageing ... Time for some new words - can still use short but "short and normal" seems a bit of an odd thing to say. Might just have to stick with "short and ageing" for now until I can think of something better... ;-)

Indigo - you can now say, "I'm that fox chick looks like she got naked with a REAL man recently! Mmmm hmmmmmm!"

Now you can say, "I'm that sexy minx with the big curly hair. Grrrr"

Not sure that's very business-like. But hell, I'll try anything.

I forgot to add you need to wear those boots you were talking to Indigo about! Hell yes - I'm that sexy beast in the corner rockin' those red boots!

McButter... it was Indigo and I that were talking about the Red Boots :)

Reverie - can you lend your red boots to Lipstick?!?!? LL was probably wondering what I was talking about!

McB, just snorted out loud in a very unattractive way, lol!!!!

Glad I could make you laugh! Have a great weekend, sweetie.

You certainly did - and you too x

Wear a white flower, use that as your description, ...don't you guys ever watch old movies? :D

Happy and sad for you, LL. Happy that you've beat the crap out of your obesity problem but sad that it cost you. Consider the lost money part of your co-pay. :D

McButterPants. You can describe yourself as the woman who looks as if her husband makes all women drop their pants. HA!

Gman. I'll live. If she can't have a bit of understanding, I don't need her. :D

OMG - I'm laughing!!!!!!

I'm going to take a picture of him doing laundry - he's very sexy when he's Spray & Washing.

Wait. He writes nice things AND he does laundry? I just got a little warm downstairs. Show him my pic and ask if he's interested. Please? :D

And does dishes!

I'll show him your pic! You can borrow him for a while...I'll warn you, he's act like a 6'3" teenager most of the time.

I used to teach middle school. I can totally handle him.

Wow... I would probably describe what I am wearing rather than what I look like. So the hot red boots sound good to me lol.

There are lots on nudist colonies here in Florida. Tattoos really help when meeting in StarbuckNakeds.
