Cross Fit: 2 down

Swimming: 4200 m down.

(That's the total. Not what I did today. I'm not crazy. At least not where this is concerned.)

My challenge for this month is to do 50 unbroken pull ups in a set . I did 100 in sets of 10 yesterday, each set unbroken. Slowly working towards my goal. Started out this month being able to do 5 in a row and would burn out after 4-5 sets. So making some progress. Long ways to go. Good luck everyone in reaching your goals for the month.

My new Xfit lifting buddy and I are doing it again tonight, took yesterday off, he said we would work our way up to daily. The birthing machine left my legs so sore they don't even feel sore - they feel bruised, they are tender to the touch! It's going to be brutal tonight but I am really looking forward to it. All I've had to eat today though is a 3 ounce piece of prime rib and it just feels stuck.

Great!

You might find a meal of good carbs before doing these cross fit type workouts will help you with sustained energy during your workout. Every day I make this huge bowl of steel oats that is mixed with a scoop of my Protein Powder and 1/2 cup Fiber one 2 hours before working out. Works great for sustained energy during the 1-2 hours of busting it out. A good whey Protein Drink afterwards along with Glutamine, as part of a BCAA stack, will help your body recover faster and stay out of a catabolic state. Keep drinking a lot of Water (in liters) all day to flush out the toxins generated during your daily intense work out.

Well, I haven't been on in a while, have been super busy, but am still getting in the exercise. This is what I am up to so far: MTD-walking 40 miles, 4 yoga classes, 3 strength sessions, and 20 minutes a day on either the eliptical or the recumbent. Sometimes it just seems like there is not enough hours in the day to get in everything that I need to do. Oh, well, who needs sleep?

Ok! I am really trying but I honestly just dont know how you people find time to work out so much! 13 hours at work on my feet all day. Zumba, or anything else for that matter just ain't gonna happen... not tonight anyway, and since tomorrow is Saturday and I already have over 8 hours of clients scheduled plus bookkeeping and cleaning, probably not tomorrow either. You guys must all be retired or something!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
