I'm back at the hotel and I must say I feel 20 times better. I don't know if it's all the room and privacy I have or what. But I'm feeling awesome. I guess the removal of the drain has a lot to do with it.

Hi everyone! First, congrats to all who had their surgery and hope you have an easy recovery.

I was sleeved first thing this morning and feeling pretty good. The whole thing done in an hour. Dr said it was easy lapband removal. Surgery started about 7:30am and I was home by 11:00am. Was feeling queasy and a little uncomfortable from the gas. Took a 2 hour nap when I got home. Now walking and sipping my reduced sodium chicken broth with a scoop of Unjury chicken. Doing great, no nausea, pain scale maybe a 1.

Cheers!

Deb

Hi.. were you sleeved or did you have lap band removal? I ask because your already home on same day within a few hours and you didn't mention a leak test, so I assume you had your lap band removed??? Just asking since you post isn't very clear..anyways hope you have a speedy recovery

You don't have to guzzle down on anything! Slow down! Fluids like plain Water, chicken & vegetable soup are more than sufficient! I just got done on 7th n home today - sipping on only water all day for now.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
