My surgery was Tuesday at 8am. I've just been told that due to my limited liquid intake, I'm not eligible to go home. I can only drink about 8oz of Water every few hours. The main reason I don't drink is due to the gas bubbles that occur everytime i even take a sip of water. With every sip comes about 5 or 6 burps I have to force pit before I can manage to drink again (otherwise I feel like I will vomit).
Did this happen to anyone else? This just doesn't seem like the typical "post surgery gas" that I need to work out. I walk and walk, but no matter what I do, I can't get this gas to go away!!
So sick of being in the hospital!
