Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I had a 2 week stall starting 1 day after my 1 week post op appointment. Although it was EXTREMELY frustrating, I do believe our bodies are in shock for losing weight so fast. I lost 22 pounds in the 2 week pre op + 10 the week after surgery. My surgery date was Feb 19 & I am down a total of 43 pounds. Do your measurements. Even though I wasn't losing on the scale, I was definitely losing inches. I also get my Protein in but struggle with Water. Best of luck to everyone! Just work your plan. I can't wait to see what we have to say in June!!

Same here- sleeved 2/17, down 48lbs (30 preop). I think I've lost more inches in the last two weeks that I've been stalled on the scale.., it's crazy!

My almost 2 week stall has broken! Yesterday I stepped on the scale and had lost almost 5 lbs! Finally! Now to get my weight loss going again for my May 31st wedding on the beach in San Diego!

I've been stuck for 10 days! I don't get all of my Water and Protein in every day and haven't started walking consistently yet. I've not had too many problems with pain and have not vomited. Still on full liquids until Wednesday. Only 18lbs down from surgery 3/25. I'm not overly exhausted, but I do get tired easily. I am frustrated that I have stalled and frustrated that I have not been released to do heavier workouts. I was doing Insanity 3-4 days a week preop. I am starting Protein Shakes tomorrow (have been using Isopure clear liquid for protein). Hopefully that and dedication to water intake will kick this stall. I guess I just wanted to say, you are not alone. I've heard several people talk about their stalls about this time postop. We can do it, and we will reach our goals with hard work. Keep your head up! PS- I drink Poweraide Zero and sugar free Popsicles when I get bored/tired of water. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm so glad I'm not alone. I was beginning to think I was doing something wrong or the surgery didn't work. Thanks again!

You will! We all have had (and will have) stalls. I've just decided to weigh myself no more than once a week, or less. My clothes are the biggest indicator for me, if the process is going well:) while I obviously want to weigh less, I'm going by how my clothes fit, and how I feel.

After 2 days of milk of mag I finally had a large Decaf coffee... And finally pooped. I've never been so happy about poop before. Just saying

Oh yeah. It's amazing how exciting a poop is now. Haha. My bff that had surgery in December and I joke about it all the time.

I'm waiting to see my surgeon for my 4 week post-op follow up appt today! I really home that she is not disappointed in my weight loss since surgery. I hope even more that she advances my diet to soft foods! Fingers crossed! I hope that everyone is doing well and melting beautifully!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
