8 Months Out From Surgery And 0.8 Lb From Goal... Looking For Veteran Guidance.

Recommended Posts

Weigh every day. Set a bounce range that is small, less than 5 lbs. and cut out extras if you get there.

Continue with your healthy eating habits. Add calories in slowly, adding healthy fats, whole grains, and fruit.

Plan for how to incorporate treats. I keep treats I can control in the house. For treats I would over indulge in, I only eat them when not at home.

Enjoy life at goal!

Find a lifestyle that works for you quickly! If logging it all on MFP or tracking works do it. Also, remember you WILL find you are able to consume many more foods as time goes on and it will be tempting to graze every few hours. Set a schedule and stick to it. Don't let one or two become five or size pounds.

My "dashboard" -

Weigh every morning

Log everything on MFP. I do have several 'planned' Snacks per day, but I stay within my 1300 calories a day

Weigh and/or measure my food when I'm at home

I'm also a support group junkie. I have four that I attend monthly

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
